The top. 8 seed is overrated.

I'd say that headline is wayyyy too long.

That won’t mean anything if LSU gets beat tonight.

I'd expect them to beat the shite out of the Ohio Valley team in the elimination finale.

True. And LSU losing last night won’t mean anything if they get the win tonight.

That is true as well. I hope it LSU does make last night an unpleasant memory, sort of like the Florida game 2 years ago in Omaha.

Forty runs in three games on the road with nearly zero fan base, and this is all you can say about "Cinderella"?

I’d say “wow that’s crazy…I’m sure they’ll kill em in the next game” and go on about my day.

Which is exactly what Ole Miss did to Murray St the second time around, with a 2nd arse whipping likely incoming tonight.

Murray may have a much better record than LR, but any team from the smaller mid and low major conferences like Murray, Wright State and NDSU, which also had a losing record and ended a team’s season, will be looked at the same way. That’s just how it is.

The majority here on tRant purge anything remotely positive from memory after any loss.

And once we win tonight that loss will be like a fart in the wind!

Same thing I’m saying about Vanderbilt, Texas, and Georgia today. I would laugh, say it’s embarrassing, and delight that the path to a title just got that much easier

This! This board was taking much delight to schools mentioned above, and for good reason. If LSU falls, we will get laughed at just as much as they did.

Not yet. If we lose tonight we will be laughed at just the same.

Even more so. LSU got the easiest draw in regional play. They have the best 1-2 punch for starters in the country. And the one seed in the adjacent regional lost, making a super regional even easier for LSU.

If Johnson can’t get it done tonight, this should go down alongside 2005 LSU-Tennessee football and the 2011 National Championship game as the one of biggest choke jobs in LSU athletics history.

If he loses this will be a choke job he will not be able to shake.

Not saying he would be fired next year or year after but it changes how a lot of people look at him

Boy was I wrong about this one. Murray has it all working and Ole Miss’ bats have abandoned them.

Hopefully the baseball gods are occupied fricking with them tonight.
