Remember when we used to have quarterbacks who barely threw 100 yards a game?

Sure do! I also remember when we used to pray for a first down on 3rd and 2 just to keep a drive going!

We have a QB that can throw 100 yards a quarter easily.

I hated it. And you don't have to go back far: Jordan Jefferson, Anthony Jennings, Brandon Harris. I remember a game against a bad Eastern Michigan team where Brandon Harris went 4 for 15 for only 72 yards!

At least Danny Etling surpassed 100 against every team not named Alabama.

Threw for 98 yards against Oregon and people cherish that game as one of the best in program history.

It was brutal. I remember several games in recent years LSU lost because they couldn't pick up those two yards, late in the game, in situations where a conversion would have enabled the clock to run out. Alabama 2012 and 2014 come to mind.

JB9 would probably be a good triple option QB. Just sayin.

In all honesty it was. But no thanks to the offense. That game, and many others in 2011, were won with great defense and special teams play.

Burrow have Mike Vick type excape ability with Tom Brady pocket presence and go through progressions like Peyton Manning. I think everybody on the team know what it feel like to catch a pass.

One time Harris went 4-14 with 80 yards. That was a fun game.

That's a nice yards per completion.

I recall many ugly games with about 95 passing yards. It’s amazing LSU won so many such games. And so many LSU fans, desperate for a silver lining, would convince themselves that LSU didn’t pass much only bc it didn’t “need” to. Or that there’s a secret playbook. Or that LSU needed more talent and the next recruiting class would be the answer.

How old are you? Can you name the last coach who had a team that averaged under 100 yards per game? Or even under a 150 yards per game?

Im certain a lot of folks on here are too young to recall either.

Agreed, not saying it wasn’t. It was just such a different offense back then.

Burrow can throw for 100 yards on a 2-play, 50 yard drive, with his throwing hand tied behind his back, wearing blindfolds.

Ironically, our 8-5 team in 2014 had the best chance of beating that team from Tuscaloosa that everyone obsesses about... 20-13 OT loss

Anthony Jennings: 8/26 passing, 76 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Leonard fournette: 21 carries, 79 yards
Travin Dural: 3 receptions, 25 yards

Now we have everyone bitching about the defense when we have the highest scoring offense in the nation, not the SEC, the NATION
