It was so satisfying to hear him at the beginning of Jayden’s interview on the Pivot saying how poorly and bad Florida is right now and how wrong he was about Napier saying “boy was I wrong!” lol

Everyone has an opinion. I was wrong about Jayden Daniels, it happens.

So did half of the Tiger Rant. Many wanted Napier, some wanted Jumbo, some even wanted Marcus Freeman as a HC.
In reality, it’s a little early to judge any of this shite after two years. Both Kelly and Napier took over decimated teams. Kelly has certainly outperformed all 3 of those other coach’s so far, but pump the brakes. I hope that Kelly kills it in recruiting and adds multiple championships to the LSU trophy case. However, it is possible that Napier & Freeman have success at their schools also. Take a chill pill, Jill.

No, but I do remember him being mad that LSU hired "just another white dude" when discussing BK.

Had any white person called a black coach "just another black dude", racist Ryan would have played the victim and did all he could to cancel that person.

His reason was because Kelly is an old WHITE guy.

frick Ryan. Dude was an absolute cancer to the program in 2020.

The hate people have for RC here is so stupid. You disagree with his takes on race relations. I don't necessarily agree with him on that stuff either.

On the other hand, he does more for LSU on a daily basis than any person on this board ever has. He advocates for LSU on national TV on a daily basis. Not only that, but he pushed high school recruits in LA to LSU all the time. He trains 50 NFL defensive backs every spring. He is objectively good for the program.

I do remember his little litmus test to discern who is ultimately a racist depending on if you wanted Mike Tomlin for a coach or not.

I actually don't remember that, thought he only wanted a black coach. I also don't pay much attention to him (not that I hate him or anything, seems like an ok guy).

He said he wanted a black coach or Billy Napier because they could relate to the young black players. He also said that Brian Kelly was just another old white guy hire.

Yup. He's been saying LSU has too many old white coaches. He also said it the season or two before LSU had their greatest season ever. LSU has had several non white coaches over the years. Not a fan of him, because of the constant racial stuff.

So hire someone because they can relate to the demographic in certain cases

At the same time advocate for certain people to be hired when they don’t relate to the demographic so that you can foster diversity

Interesting paradox

Why is it so satisfying?? ...at the end of the day, he is just another guy with an opinion.

Remember the time Ryan Clark bitched that we had “another old white guy” as a coach…

Instant discredit to anything he ever has to say again. Frick that guy

For me it was satisfying because he was downplaying Brian Kelly when we made the hire and said we should have hired Billy Napier because he is young and he can relate to the players. All he was focused on was relating to the players and Florida is a dumpster fire right now.

In that conversation, he said, BK was a good hire and he’d be successful here. Yes, he referred to BK as another boring old white guy. He was making the point that he would have liked to see someone younger with more energy which is exactly what most of this board was saying at that exact time. Yes, I think he should have left out the 'white' part about BK, but I'm not getting my panties twisted like this board still does two years later. While I didn't like the way Clark said it, he was at least complimentary of BK's coaching and past. Many on this board were too busy melting over the hire to listen to the full clip.
