My history here has always been to get rid of JA. I am certainly not one of his supporters. However.......
It is "unclear" as to whether JA wanted WW suspended. If JA wanted WW suspended, why the "order" from FKing? I suspect JA is out because he was not tough enough on WW. If I am right (and that's a big if), WW better hope that nothing else negative emerges about WW and the FBI. Is it possible JA reinstated WW without FKing's advice/consent? FKing was reportedly not at the meeting. Also, JA is the one who worked with the NCAA to get Smart reinstated (also, maybe without FKing's advice/consent). Maybe (just maybe), JA was not the one who wanted WW and Smart suspended. Maybe (just maybe), JA and FKing butted heads on this entire issue resulting in JA's departure.
Maybe.
FKing "controls everything.

King ordered the code red.

Joe was the errand boy.

I'm sure the assholes on the BoS who didnt want Alleva removed played a big part in FKing's cluster f*#k.

Eh. All we got was a one sentence email. That may have just been the HR “formality”...

ETA: this is not an endorsement of FKA and how he’s handled these affairs.

Possibly. However, I don't think the athletic director is required to obtain written permission anytime he decides to suspend an employee.

A strong AD wouldn't have just let the situation fester for so long.

A strong AD wouldn't just let the university president come in and make decisions for him.

You ever dealt with HR issues at a state government agency?

Joe had reason to expect King to make him look like a jackass like he did with the Miles firing.

Miles situation was different. JA acted on his own UNTIL FKing stepped in and put a stop to it (Miles was supposed to be fired at halftime of the ?? game). Then JA gathered his troops (BOS Athletic committee) to fire Miles.

King's time is coming. And he is not gonna get some little prissy transition job. He is going to get straight CANNED.

It is time to move along and quit worrying about F King. There's a new AD. Bitching about F King is unnecessary at this point, and F King is not the problem.

King was the reason for the suspension. JA has little power. Same thing with the Jimbo issue. King prevented that. Hopefully with the new AD, he will tell King GFY

How can you think this? FKing ordered JA to suspend WW. It is "possible" that FKIng wanted JA to fire WW and he refused.

If he does, he better not unpack the moving truck.
