The bar is the last two years under Miles. The Saban comparison is dead upon the entrance of our new coach.

If "the bar" was 8-4 at LSU, then Miles wouldn't be fired. Think before typing.

The new coach had better win the SEC.

I sense a NegaTiger about to be born!

There's a stark difference between the condition of the team when Saban left and the condition now that Les is leaving.

What? Miles inherited a program that had lost less than 3 games once in 5 years. Miles is leaving the program in far better shape than he left it. The only difference is that the sec is far harder now than it was in 2005

If being a NegaTiger means that the new coach has to be better than the old coach, then yeah. If he is no better or even worse than what's the point?

All the anti Miles "fans" are getting their wish. I hope they are right and we win the SEC next year.

Aww man, this fricking guy. Nobody gives a frick about how many rent a wins you get a year, that's why people give their tickets away to those games and only 30k people show up. If you can't understand that the SEC record is all that matters, you need to move to a new forum.

You don't get it. It is the WAY LSU consistently underachieves that is the problem. If Miles' teams were not embarrassingly outclassed so many times, but achieve the same record(s), this all would not be ongoing.

The point is that Coach Miles's poorly-coached teams will no longer be tolerated at LSU.

If the new coach is inept and unable to field a well-coached football team, he will also be relieved of his duties.

Poorly-coached football teams will no longer be tolerated at LSU. They should NEVER have been tolerated at LSU.
