So you can’t prove it. Got it.

Just keep living in your made up world. I’m sure it’s nice there.

Well lsu just held him to pitch the opener of the sec tournament, presumably their best arm, in their opinion.

85k’s in 64 ip with a 4.22 era being another thing

Kinda odd how do two of our starting pitchers this year were scratched minutes before their starts. Makes you wonder what is really going on with the staff and our coaches.

we've had very few pitching injuries under Jay, especially if you compare it to Paul

Same thing as Bregman regarding projection

lol wat? Bregman was one of the best position players we've ever had and was the #2 overall pick in the draft after going to LSU for three years

You don’t even seem to understand the conversation.

You claimed he was a projected top 5 pick. You’ve offered zero proof to back up your claim.

I’m not arguing with you about him being a bust because that’s subjective and you’re a moron so it will go nowhere.

But you can’t substantiate your claim about being a projected top 5 pick. You’ve offered zero just keep repeating that he’s a bust like some retarded Teddy Ruxpin with the wrong cassette tape.

worst season in our lifetime best arm after the other 2 pitchers got hurt

for the highest rated recruit to ever come to LSU having close to a 5 era in his 2nd year. Bust

I mean I get your point but how would you prove it unless you ranked every player in modern history on the same grading scale. It is fair to say he would have been a first round pick and passed on a lot of money, which seems to be the general consensus.

Depends on your opinion and definition of a bust. But he was a dependable arm on a dogshit staff after not even being trusted to pitch through an inning a year ago

Baseball America had him ranked 22nd. Their mock drafts had him being picked later than their ranking because HS righties generally go lower than their ranking.

I’m not talking about some nebulous concept. There are a lot of publications that do draft rankings and no credible outlets had him as a top 5 pick.

Ok maybe not top 5 as the other poster said but a very hyped guy coming out of high school as a projected late first round pick

He was the number 5 recruit on perfect game coming into LSU. He was probably the highest rated recruit to come to LSU during the perfect game rankings

That’s what I’ve been trying to get across.

Top 5 pick and fringe first rounder come with vastly different expectations.

The particular way I’m pissing in the wind right now is hoping that if people had correct information they might not compare his output to their unrealistic expectations.

What would a first rounders expectations be in year 3 in the teams organization?

A good hometown comp, Aaron Nola, was a year and half into his mlb career at year 3, granted a higher first round pick
