Refs make games closer than they should be and push Auburn over the top in most cases... And yet, Miles is 23-8 in games decided by 8 or less.

1988
In 1988, #4 ranked Auburn traveled to Tiger Stadium with one of its best teams in years, and national championship aspirations. The 4-0 AU Tigers entered the game outscoring its opponents 161-44, but were held to just two field goals. However, their outstanding defense kept the 2-2 Bayou Bengals (who had beaten Tennessee and Texas A&M before losing to OSU and Florida) scoreless through 58 minutes. However, with 1:47 to play, QB Tommy Hodson found RB Eddie Fuller open on a crossing pattern for a touchdown on fourth and goal. Ironically, it was the same play Fuller had caught on 3rd and goal, only to step out of the back of the end zone. The crowd eruption was so intense that it registered as an earthquake on the seismograph located in LSU’s Howe-Russell Geoscience Complex. Both Hodson and Fuller later said it was the most physical game of their college careers (LINK College Football News ranks this game as the 17th best finish in the history of college football (LINK Auburn would have likely played Notre Dame for the National Championship had they beaten LSU, as AU finished the season with six consecutive wins, giving up only 31 points in the process. Auburn and LSU tied for the SEC crown that year. AU ended the season losing to FSU in the Sugar Bowl, 13-7. LSU lost to Syracuse in the Hall of Fame Bowl, 23-10.
1994
Auburn was on a 14-game winning streak and ranked #11 in nation under coach Terry Bowden when LSU traveled to Auburn in 1994, but it was the Bengal Tigers who led 23-9 entering the fourth quarter. LSU quarterback Jamie Howard threw five fourth quarter interceptions - three returned for touchdowns - as Auburn extended their winning streak to 15 games with a 30-26 win. Auburn, with star running back Stephen Davis, was held to a mere 165 total yards, and Howard received death threats after the loss.
1995
LSU donned its white jerseys for a home game for the first time in 15 years, inspiring the Bengal Tigers, behind the play of QB Jamie Howard, to a 12-6 victory over fifth-ranked Auburn. LSU cornerback Troy Twillie intercepted a Patrick Nix pass in the end zone on the final play of the game. This game is also referred to by Auburn fans as the Whistle Game, because Nix was sacked for a safety when he stopped play after a fan in the stands blew a whistle.[2] However, the Sporting News reported that the LSU crowd "was so loud that Auburn quarterback Patrick Nix, standing in his end zone, thought he heard a whistle and mistakenly thought the play was dead. He was sacked for a safety." Which in turn cost Auburn the game and a chance to play in the SEC Championship game.[3]
1996
LSU defeated Auburn 19-15 in 1996 while the old Auburn Sports Arena, affectionately called "the Barn", burned to the ground across the street from Jordan-Hare Stadium. After scoring a touchdown, Auburn trailed 17-15 and attempted the two-point conversion. LSU intercepted the pass and returned it for a 19-15 win. The fire began when a tailgater placed a barbecue grill too close to the building. Scenes of the fire were captured by ESPN during the national broadcast as flames were seen as high as the Jordan-Hare west upper-deck. The game was never delayed, and the Auburn public address announcer continually advised fans not to worry: "the stadium [was] not on fire; the flames [were] outside the stadium." Because of the fire and the thrilling finish, the game became known as the "Barn Burner".

I have been listening to the talk radio up in Birmingham. Every seems to think you guys have already won. One guy said if there was a true test besides alabama it's georgia. It's all over and i am sure your team believes it. I really like that 21 point score that you guys made on arky during there fourth quarter implosion. I am sure you guys (the players too) are already celebrating. Just wait buddy, time pay the piper come saturday. You won't see anyone more physical and with the speed our defense has. And that includes bama and any other team you can come up with.
Our team is loving it. frick the refs, they won't save you this time.
Our boys got the war paint on already.
stay thirsty my friend

Don't forget 2004. Auburn got to rekick a missed extra point based on a penalty that was only called once in the history of college football and taken off of the books the following offseason.
Auburn has not seen a defense like ours this year. It's a defense designed to stop the spread. The only thing that makes me sad is that Sam Montgomery wont be there to smack Cam Newtwon every time he runs to the left.

quote:Yea because when the refs directly account for giving AU 14 points, it does nothing to change momentum, play-calling and the entire flow of the game. You are fricking stupid.
FYI we beat Arkansas by 22 points.

Great English, imbred AuburnCPA. Examine the facts though when it comes to officiating in Auburn. Last week, Arkansas clearly got the shaft. Let's not forget 2004 and Auburn given a second chance to make a PAT (that is point after touchdown) for you CPA. Also, the 2006 game was a travesty in which LSU is handed a 7-3 loss by the zebras from Birmingham. You have to admit that these games were, at best, controversial.

Of course it's still in the book. Cool story though.

LSU has the momentum going into this game. Auburn shot their wad last weekend. After the McNeese game, our players said they could'nt wait to get to practice Monday. I can assure you that after the Arkansas game, Auburn players were spent both physically and mentally and were no where nearly as excited about starting another week of grueling practice on Monday. LSU wins this game.

The Ole Miss Alabama game was pathetic, everytime Ole Miss made a good play the refs would throw a flag, hell they even called offsides on a players that wasn't even in the game, after the play was almost over. The ref had to make something up when he told the head ref half the time after they play. The replay would show nothing!
Hell Ole Miss sucks but they still had to cheat to keep them down.

Simple, we win by 20. No excuses, we just win.

Auburn had a favorable call vs Florida in 2006 involving a decision whether Chris Leak fumbled or threw a forward pass. Always seemed a little shady. Rumors about the replay ref being an alum or something.

Dude...UFO's are real. Just look at Les Miles.
There are many bigfoots. My friend shot at one in Folke, Arkansas. And Refs do cheat for his hindness Nick Satan and Alabama and Auburn.
