That is a totally ridiculous statement! If you want to smoke weed just say so but you don’t have to distort the reality of the truth !

If weed is Oked for athletes where do you draw the line. Can he smoke a joint every Saturday night after the game? If so, he can smoke one every day before practice, before classes, team meetings. Some players will take advantage of their new found freedom. Will you smoke one every day during lunchbreak at work. Try smoking a joint right before you meet your in laws for the first time. It affects your performance and you can't tell me it don't . The rule of staying drug free for an athletic scholarship seems like a fair deal. Make the NFL with your millions and retire in a state that allows legal pot. Have your own greenhouse and enjoy the rest of your life. Spoken by an old hippie.

This will be an interesting issue to watch. The worst effect of Weed is the tremendous de-motivating force it has on chronic users. I suspect people who cant handle their use will drop out or burn out prematurely.

Wow. I didn't realize there were this many people that are still anti-marajuana. Ok, so obviously people don't know that cannabis is a miracle plant that can be used for so many things. The facts are that cannabis is not as unhealthy as smoking cigarettes (insinuated in a previous post) and is far safer than alcohol. This plant has been a part of human civilization for centuries as well as the use of psilocybin mushrooms (Check out micro-dosing and John Hopkins Hospital/ PTSD). However, much like alcohol, cannabis should be used responsibility. You wouldn't get drunk to meet your in-laws or go to class hammered. That's just a silly argument.
What people do to their own bodies, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, should be their own decision. Who are you or anyone else for that matter to say otherwise?
If these OU players are of age then this is bullshite. This will really look bad in a couple years when marijuana is Federally legal and is no longer a scheduled substance anywhere. All that being said, these kids should of known the rules and like it or not there are still clear consequences under current regulations. You want to play ball, you need to follows their rules. Sucks but so does life sometimes...

Why do u say that in Oklahoma players being suspended? Who said? Ur mom? Got a link to prove? U do know LSU still has to prepare for Oklahoma and can't go in sleeping during the game just cause u think another teams players can not play or not avail to play
I say that there are several rumors of multiple suspensions due to weed use. No sir, my Mom didn't say it, she died from breast cancer 2 years ago. I do have multiple links that I can share with you.
rotogrinders
Bucknuts
Dirt burglars
Yes I am aware that LSU still has to play OU, suspensions or not. I am aware that we must be ready
My conversation is about LSU's abstinence policy and how, if these rumors are true, it is a very good policy to keep in place

I feel bad for you that you're 49 and still haven't learned to think for yourself.
Standing up for something one believes in isn't about "how it works out" for him/her. Open your mind, create your own thoughts and ideas. It's the only way to truly live.

I'm actually very happy with myself at this point in life. I'm sorry that I have no idea what you are talking about beyond that.

What? The first thing to do when you've dug yourself into a hole is stop digging.

If you try really hard and apply yourself that fryer job at McDonalds will be yours someday.

It’s dumb for a player to try and stand up to a LSU’s drug policy It’s not dumb for people who could change said policy to stand up and change it. It’s not dumb for people influence said people and have nothing to lose to try and influence them. Weed isn’t a performance inhaling drugs. It isn’t addictive. It’s not as dangerous as opioids. It’s legal in a various states, and if the NCAA doesn’t test for it LSU shouldn’t.
If weed makes one type like this, then for the love of typewriters stay off the weed!
