Miles wouldn't be getting shite on if he would have at least made attempts to revamp the O. He lied and gave Tiger nation the middle finger. All the warranted backlash is his doing.

Most Players on NFL rosters = LSU
That proves Miles can't coach with anybody's players

There is so much good in this thread, especially the first post, that Im going to bump this for eternity to drive home what us "negatigers" have been saying for, in some cases, years.

you are one of the least objective or rational posters on this board
this coming from you is just absurdly ironic

Geauxgurt, I wish I could argue your point, but you nailed it.

Ditto. I'm hoping the downvotes were just people getting tired of hearing others complain. I almost posted something similar a few days ago in a reply. Thanks to the OP for posting. You can't argue numbers.

This is just stupid.
LSU was 4-7 and then 2-8 in the two years prior to Saban's arrival.
You know you're comparing apples to oranges. You're just being retarded.
it's futile. stop wasting your time. they won't say we were 7-1 sec in 2003 though. they assume he would not win big with all the talent he left for les. it's laughable. if they think he would not have a better sec record than les, especially since 1-9 they are beyond help. Yep, he has not won big at bama either!

FYI...Miles' tenure is not the last 8 years
Maybe, just maybe, it had to do with his teams slowly going backwards.

considering how Miami fared after firing Coker, I wonder if they regret that

Eroded it from what point?
From where Saban had it when he bolted for the NFL. If you can't see the program is in decline, there's no sense in reading/responding to anything you type. I'm not trying to be an arse, just being honest. You're obviously in denial and can't be reasoned with.

THis only proves my point. Besides the fact we've only won 1 BCS title and 2 SEC titles in 11 years, we've went 14-10 in the SEC over the past 3 years, 9-9 against the West. So explain to me how his past and overall record is helping us NOW.. ??

Miles had one better SEC season, 8-0.
5-3, Saban has 3, Miles has 3
6-2, Saban has 1, Miles has 5
Bottom line is if Miles had never done any better than Saban at LSU, he'd be gone long ago.
Carry on with your Saban circle jerk.

Again, people will claim how amazing Les' record is, and while it was very good, especially to start, his overall record including inflation from years 1-3 is only 2.8% points above Saban right now. That is despite the fact that Saban took over a team in turmoil, and Miles took over a team that may have been a botched extra point away from being in an NC the year before.
Again, here it is:
LSU Records by coach:
Les = 112-33 (77.2%)
Saban = 48-16 (75%)
In his last 8 years + 1 game:
Miles = 78-27 (74.2%)
That is a lower win percentage for a team following an NC than Saban had coming off two losing seasons the year prior.
In the end, Les is a good coach but his first 3 years are his best. Since then, without Jimbo trained QBs, he's proven to be worse than Saban despite starting in a better position.

The only time Miles and Saban should be compared is head-to-head on the field. To justify Miles exit, you only need to compare Miles from then to now. Then was much better, now not so much.

So 16 losses and 12 sec losses is great because the rest of the sec sucked?
15 losses and 12 sec losses is crap because the sec has gotten better?
I find it hard to believe you all would be ok woth losing 3 games every year as long as we won the west.
Saban lost more games during his tenure tha miles has the last 5 years and the sec is far better than it was under saban. In 2001 the second place west team was 7-5. If miles could win the west with 3 lossed or less he would have 9 west titles.
Comparatively if you gave saban a natiobal title for every 2 loss or less season he had at lsu he would still just have 1 Natty.
Saban at lsu never once faced a sec program that even made the title game. Miles has either been the winner or faced the title game participant the last 8 years.
Look im on board to let miles go. There is no need for lsu fans to shite on its own accomplishments just because you dont like the coach. Its ignorant as frick.

You could say the same thing about Mack Brown at Texas. Both Miles and Brown had wonderful tenures, but the game passed both of them because both refused to or were unable to adjust to the changing style of college football. In ideal world Les, would look at his roster and change his scheme, or change QBs because Etling does atleast fit the Mile/Cameron offense. However, we all know that Miles won't change his scheme, and he won't change his qb until we have another loss or two. LSU needs to pull a UT and fire Miles and Alleva, and then pull a Tulane and let the biggest boosters and a national firm find the next coach and AD.
