You need to be banned from TD.One thing about sport is rivalry takes all the statistics out. FL does not have Easley which is one good DL they have. Mett is going to torch them more than bridgewater did.

Well the statistics show that they average more penalties per game than us. So there you go. op was spot on.

I still don't understand why we lost to them last year. All they did was run Gillislee the entire second half. Good thing Minter at least played a decent game.

What the hell is wrong with you.

There are some valid points there and it will proabably be closer than some people think.
However, there are some other factors not mentioned. Florida hasn't seen one receiver that's near as good or physical as the two we have. They also haven't seen a pro-style QB near as good as ours (though they may be able to blitz him easier). Our RB ain't too shabby either when you're trying to focus on the passing game.
UF doesn't have the killer speed guys like in the past on offense. This should help LSU. But LSU's D has not looked impressive and if they're not physical with tackling, Florida's RB could do well.
LSU also has good special teams (minus the UGA fumble) and is at Tiger Stadium playing against a fresh QB who has only played at UK (enough said). That could cause issues. Also, if LSU loses, the SEC and National Championship hopes go down the drain, so LSU may have a little more urgency. If UF loses, they can still go to the SEC Championship.
True, but Oklahoma had also played a whole season and LSU's D was more amazing. Florida has played five games and lost the one game that had a decent opponent. Some see LSU the same way, but at least LSU beat TCU and State - two bowl teams from last year. Also, Auburn appears improved this year.

LSU beat Oklahoma 21-14 in the 2003 BCS. Oklahoma was supposed to have an amazing offense. It so happens that Muschamp is also involved in this game.

so many logic flaws in this post, I don't even know where to begin.
I will just ask, do you have any concept that every football game is different, and using historical points scored as indication of a score projection is a little ridiculous?
Have you ever analyzed a game in this fashion before? What was the outcome?
Do you seriously think that Florida OUTGAINS us by 100 yards?
I think that if you would have used an average percentage of deviation from opponents average or mean statistics for the season, as compared to the UF game, and applied that percentage to LSU avg/mean statistics, then that may have been more plausible.
You saying that you used statistics here is a joke. You looked at stats, and made assumptions, without explaining your assumptions. You should be paying attention to class, rather than writing bull shite on the Tiger Rant.

Mett fumbling when we were about to score had a lot to do with it. We had no protection. Again my post earlier stated we saw some new faces on the oline that game, and hurst couldnt handle playing LT.

QB CF.
ETA: OP, you're much better off listening to Vegas than crunching stats.
LSU 44
UF 34

#1. Our rushing offense isn't as good as you may think, and Florida's rushing defense really is THAT good.

#2. Mettenberger will NOT throw for 300+ yards.

well shite...is there anything LSU is going to do well?

Reality check
This is a statement game for LSU and they make a big statement by going in dry and shutting UF the frick up

i agree.
but i don't need stats to tell me that LSU got killed at the line of scrimmage on both sides of ball vs UGA. that's my fear.
they don't have an aaron murray which will help but they also don't have the swiss cheesy-ness of UGA's D either. i think this game will be like UGA but with less scoring and more punting.
