I dont think that was the issue. From all accounts, he handled the interview fine, but then when others interviewed him later about what was the strangest thing that was asked of him, he replied with those questions - and told the truth.
Somehow half the people in this thread, thinks he should have lied or that his is attention grabbing by telling the truth in the media interview.
I call bullshite on it, and honestly there must be some ridiculous bias that I just dont see on how so many people could defend the NFL and not Guice in this instance

The whole point may have been to see IF he would follow the NFL code of keeping it in the locker room and handling it internally. They definitely don't like shite getting run out to the media at the drop of the hat.

the owners can't get on the same page about the NFL Commissioner but they're banding together to teach a college kid a lesson about what not to say ?

you have a lot of weird interview fantasies involving piss and shite.
big difference between your fantasies and the simple questions players are asked at a combine. the nfl is a different world, you cant compare it to normal jobs. engineering grads arent signing $20 million contracts and $10 million signing bonuses out of college. most engineers work past the age of 30. there are more than 32 engineering companies to work for.

And people think he ran angry in high school and college...imagine him after being drafted in 4th round

quote:the NFL pretty much can't prevent a team from drafting Guice anywhere they want. Too much NFL conspiracy theory going on here. If it ever got out that the NFL was trying to torpedo a player before the draft, that would be a MASSIVE problem for the league. I seriously doubt it's happening here.
Guice is one of 22 players invited to attend the draft in person. That doesn't happen if the NFL is pulling strings to punish him.

My second post in summation. I can read it to you, but cant understand it for you

He likely pissed off a few GM's who asked him those ridiculous questions. Those few GM's likely leaked that info directly to McShay on purpose, and once he hears it from a few different teams - he runs with it as gospel. He likely wont fall to the fourth round, but they do hope to throw doubt onto his image enough for some teams to stay away and to make some sort of statement.

Again, so you're saying they are allowed to cross lines and talk to you/intrude however they want because youre just a dumb athlete with a short shelf life?
The amount of money the players are compensated pails in comparison to how much the players earn for the league. And dont begin to act like things havent changed with guaranteed money for the first contract rule. These arent the days of Jamarcus Russell where they are gonna blow 60 million on your first contract without any substantive experience in person to back it up with....

What is more likely? Guice is the type to make that stuff up out of thin air for attention, or he still has a little too much street in him for the NFL's taste
What is more likely? NFL personnel asking a question that the league sent a clear message was no longer considered ok or a young not savvy player misspeaking about the situation?
I’ve said all along the interviewer probably asked something along the lines of “Would you be able to control your emotions if an opponent was trash talking and asked if you liked men”.
This is very likely as it is known that Odell has been pestered by corners trying to get in his head by questioning his sexuality. Now comes Guice from the same school with the same flamboyant looks, personality, and at a similar position, and it is a valid concern for a team to see if he is going to have the same difficulties that Odell has had dealing with that type of mental warfare.
Guice is caught a little off guard by the question and takes it as the guy questioning his sexuality and talks about it as something that surprised him in the interview process.
After the NFL asks around, the person explains the context of the question, and the NFL sets Guice straight, so to speak, hence the walkback of the allegation.
Maybe he falls because teams now aren’t sold on his intelligence or his focus during the process. Maybe he comes off as immature and a little bit of a prima donna.

He’s being called immature by NFL teams and he’s still doing nothing to help his cause. He’s out there saying he’s going to dress conservative for the draft because he “can’t be himself”. It’s all about attention with him and when teams are going to invest first round money on someone, they want to see more maturity. There’s no conspiracy, give it up.

I'm asking what the questions were? Were they so bad and so offensive that they had to be leaked knowing it was a risk to future earnings?

Look here Sheryl Crow, no one in the NFL cares if this dude likes attention. Do you really think they will drop him because he plays video games, and comes off immature?
Dude has never been involved with any drama off the field or on the field at LSU, and not close. No drug issues, no fighting, no disrespect with coaches, no clashes on team due to chemistry - nothing.
If he likes attention and that is truly an issue, how the hell does Odell Beckham become the face of a franchise and one of the most recognizable names in all of football. The only thing that dude loves more than attention is himself. While attention seeking isnt my favorite, it certainly wont prevent teams from going all in on you.
What about Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco, Joe Horn, Ray Lewis, Adam Packman Jones. I could go on and on. You honestly dont believe its cause he plays too many video games, do you?

Well imagine the message sent if the first days pass and he he's still sitting there with the cameras on him and the analysts wondering why his name isn't called. The NFL mafia can do what it wants. They suspended Ezekiel Elliot after their own investigator said there wasn't evidence to suspend him and then fined Jerry Jones for calling for the reconsideration of the contract for Goodell.

Guice isn’t a top round talent. He may go 3-4 but I don’t see him in 1-2 anyway.

The media interviewed Guice and asked him what the weirdest questions he was asked were. He didnt make a huge to do of it, he just answered honestly, like I would hope most of us would. He didnt leak anything for attention, he was answering a damn question honestly.
ETA: They asked him if his mom was a whore for money, did she sell her arse in so many words?
Then they asked him if he about his ball skills and how he was on the d, but they werent talking defense or football at all....
