Re Richt as OC

I'll go ahead and say it. I, for one, do not intend to renew my season tickets next year. Call me what you want, but I cannot in good faith spend money on this sh*t-show. Besides, with young kids, it's simply much easier to watch games at home.
While I attended the game on Saturday night and cheered very loudly for Les Miles, I was there as a sign of gratitude for all he's done and as a show of support for him ON HIS WAY OUT. Had I known my enthusiasm for Coach Miles would have been misinterpreted otherwise, I simply would not have gone to the game, bought a program, cheered for Miles, etc.
Having said all that, however, if the program were to (a) make a big-time hire at the OC position (i.e. someone of Mark Richt's caliber...a proven QB coach, etc), and (b) ensure that the incoming OC were to be given free reign over the offense (ala boy douchebag at Alabama), I would strongly reconsider my stance on season tickets next season. LSU was willing to pay roughly $15+ to get rid of Miles (ignore the semantics of whether this amount would actually have been owed, payments spread out, etc.), so there is SOME money in the coffers (whether it lie with boosters or otherwise.) Instead, make Richt the highest paid OC in the country instead, give him latitude and a nice title (Executive VP over Football Affairs....anything short of HCIW.)
I'm sure I speak for others on this. A move like this would go a LONG WAY in putting the debacle of the last three weeks behind us. In addition, I think it would also be in Miles' best interest -if Richt were to come in and not succeed immediately (so long as not due to Miles continuing to run his 2 yard dive offense), I think fans would be willing to grant him more time.
But perhaps this is all too logical. Wishful thinking I guess.

Due to Miles' meddling, no proven OC will come to LSU. We will only be able to attract a fired NFL or P5 coordinator or a position coach looking for experience.

Don't hold your breathe.
Might as well give em up now. Anyone expecting any real change or a dramatic improvement is simply setting themselves up for heartbreak.
I am just hopeful next year is our last with Les.

I think hiring Richt would be a sonic boom to recruits.
I think its a great idea but you are correct, probably too logical.
Got small kids too. If they don't wanna go, they can stay their buts home.

Getting closer on that list, anyone else want to jump ship? Please do!
BTW I stopped reading after he said he was not renewing season tickets.

I understand. Unfortunately the offense is not going to change.

Won't he get a HC gig somewhere?

Cool deal. What is your section and seat number(s)?

Right now I suspect Miles is going through a number of conflicting emotions; angry, appreciative, etc...But if Miles didn't recognized this episode as a wake up call and a short leash, he really doesn't have a clue...
With that said, Richt would be a tremendous hire but I would question whether Richt would hitch himself to an HC that is going into next season on the hotseat

I don't think richt would be worried about that. With is history he could end up replacing Miles or easily getting a coaching gig elsewhere.

Again, you are not as important as you think you are.
