What was the story with Allen’s recruitment?

Also totally forgot about Stewart.

Also if LSU gets Brian Thomas Jr we’ll sweep the top 6 this year

not sure, but i would call Shelvin in 2019 "indespensible"

also 2020 Todd Harris started.....hate to see what would have happened had he NOT been at LSU

Allen is a beast. Did we ever have a shot at him?

Has Smith put any more weight on since High school?

I see Chris Allen's dad fairly regularly and he's said more than once that Chris was going to LSU until Les got fired.

Smith was originally committed to UGA. Said he loved the coaches and that it was a family atmosphere, etc. Wonder what happened? And then he steals the national championship from UGA with that TD in the national championship game in overtime for Bama. That had to add to the sting of losing the NC.

Bama signed Smith, Jeudy and Ruggs all same class... We sign Netherly, Mcmath, Jefferson... Wonder if Jefferson gets a offer if we signed D. Smith...Don’t see us taking 4 wr that year..

It’s no secret that Louisiana puts out great talent. I know I’m biased but I feel like it’s a dead heat between us and the state of Florida for the absolute best.

No seriously, what is the point the OP is trying to make? I’m not trolling. I don’t know what I should be looking at here.

May have went with loyalty to the Jefferson family over smith. And no one can be upset about that. Jefferson may not have won the heisman but he is a better player than smith.

Naw we definitely didn’t chose Jefferson over Smith but I do believe he actually got a scholarship offer in part to loyalty to the family....it obviously all worked out for everybody...

Saban hired Sam Petito away from UGA to ALA. SP was from Amite and developed strong bonds and trust with all these kids starting back to Shyheim Carter. Saban knew this was his “in” to Amite and Smitty ... the rest is history. Google Sam Petito if want to learn more.

Seeing all those guys go out of state was sickening. Luckily O seems to have cleaned that up. At least this year he did.
