I wanted to use the word "ghey", but I didn't think that was kosher in a thread title.

LSUSports.net article

1) The Maravich Maniacs are "presented" by Rotolo's? Wow.

2) They have bi-monthly meetings?! What the hell is discussed at these meetings? The appropriate time to use stolen lame ideas that other schools use? (the "I believe that we will win" chant at the beginning of OT at the S. Alabama game was priceless)

3) Practice Player....oooooh....gets a $5 Jack in the Box gift card.

4) Points are earned by wearing the official shirt to the games and liking the page on Facebook...

People at LSU get paid money to come up with this stuff....

I know...Haters gonna Hate. Color me a hater. This whole thing made me then

Well since I have been out of school for almost 2 decades, I don't think I am eligible.

It's sad that they are attempting to bribe people to attend a basketball game at LSU. Especially considering how shitty LSU's basketball program is.

Yeah...this might actually work if the students were...say...between the ages of 9-12.

Well it at least shows that LSU B-Ball may have a pulse and is trying. I remember the good ole days of Daddy Dale when the team was real good almost every year, they were exciting, and people actually wanted to go to the games....It'll take awhile before we ever see that kind of fan enthusiasm again.

The worst is having the guy count to 3 so they will know when to clap before a free throw...It just sounded really funny and ridiculous on TV when I was watching the South Alabama game.
I remember the days of being an LSU student and going to games when they were really bad and no one being in there and then all of sudden they have a good year and everyone wants to go and some clowns dress up like fools and think they are some kind of super fans. I'm a huge fan of having a great student section, but for a long time now the guys who "lead" it have been a bunch of douche bags.

some normal kids should go down there and take over. wearing jerseys and shite is one thing for the student section but some of em are weird. I was at rotolos watching the kentucky game last year I think and this whole crew walks in. I was like man, we'll be lucky to stay within 40. I shite you not, one called me an idiot because we "only lost by 38"

I remember seeing an LSU game on tv and the student section looked pretty nerdy for basketball. Kind of weird, and I think it's funny when students dress up in stupid costumes for games.

It's just tough to get a bunch of people to come. Great facility, great atmosphere, awful team. Students aren't excited to go sit down in socially akwardville and watch us lose to USA and the like.
I'm excited about the future for this team, and maybe it will truly be the "Deaf Dome" again in the next 5 years. For now, I'm comfortable sitting with a couple friends away from the standing area.

My study break is over, must get back to the books.

Cane's challenge was the absolute shite. I remember the line after games at Cane's was down the street. It was awesome (the free food, not the arse ton of people).
