OP is asking for a 1 yr result, which would you take (say, in 2027):
a singular title in football,
or
national titles in every other sport LSU participates in (again, all in 1 year).
I'd be thrilled with another football title. That isn't my point. The most we've ever one in one year was 3 titles, and it always consisted of the Women's T&F winning Indoors and Outdoors, and one other title. Once baseball, once football, once Men's track.
Imagine LSU Basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball, gymnastics, golf, volleyball, track and field (both mens and womens, both indoors and outdoors), tennis, and whatever else we field, ALL winning during 2027. That would be crazy.

That would UNDENIABLY put LSU at the top of the sports world for universities! How many universities can say they have a Natty in each of the 3 big sports?

Not sure what you mean, just asking a question. Seems to be overwhelming support that a football natty trumps a natty in all other sports combined. And it’s not surprising is it?

If we did it, we would be the 6th.
Michigan has at least 2 in football, basketball, and baseball. Of course the last baseball championship was in 1962...and they were the most recent to do it.
