C. You had a Sunday starter as your “ace”. Worst pitching staff we’ve had in a while.

D, should have hit the portal harder for starting pitching and put an emphasis on playing better defense.

This is the thread LSU fans prove how little they know about baseball outside of wins and losses.

B- to C+. He didn’t have much to work with defensively. Once he brings in some of his own recruits, we’ll see what kind of coach he is.

Starting pitching was the bone crusher this year. We didn’t have a starter with bonafides this whole season. Floyd developed into the closest thing. No knock on Hilliard, he did a great job, but should have been a Sunday starter.

So blame Paul and sit back and do nothing or get guys from the transfer portal….Schlossnagle was in same boat and look at A&M….

The difference is, Schlossnagle built a TCU into a power, Johnson was middle of the Pac12 with one good year. Same defensive and pitching crap followed him here

D+ especially not figuring out Money not being the guy or even a viable rotation guy till 3/4 of the season being over. Oh yeah also considering we have pretty solid talent in the lineup.

I would say B to B-

Some questionable decisions over the season, but he was dealt a shitty hand.

They nearly won a road regional with no pitching….
