It wasn’t poor, they did exceptionally well with a depleted pitching staff, you can only do so much to help players field balls… in baseball offenses get hot and cold… let him get his guys in then judge

He did a good job in my opinion. He had a great lineup to work with and they were great. Battle some injuries but only one true starter most of the year and a tired bullpen by the end of the season. USM was the better team.

Pasta Marinara left zero pitching to work with and ultimately that’s what brought down the team.

I’ll give him a couple of recruiting classes before the real judgement.

Offenses go cold sometimes, but pitching and defense bail you out.
This team had very little of the latter two, to say the least.

B-. This pitching staff was absolutely terrible. He managed it decently through most of the season. Hitting was too streaky but better than CPM's teams. Fielding was bad.

Hitting B-
Pitching A- (was an A before this weekend)
Defense F
In game management B-
Recruiting/portal B+ (A+ if he gets most to campus)
So overall like a B- or C+

C- that’s generous with that lineup. But the pitching staff he was left was truly garbage. Worst in 2 decades

That roster has so many holes. A lesser coach would have been sub .500

even with a lacking pitching staff, won 17 conference games in the regular season and was 3 wins from omaha. he and kelly worked every ounce out of a mediocre staff. we were only ever gonna go as far as the pitching could take us. future is bright baws
