There are quite a few of you that keep whining and complaining about Etling's 6-14 with an INT. I'm beginning to wonder if you were watching the same game I was?

The fact that the kid moved in the pocket alone puts above Harris in my book. Add that to make good READS and utilizing every reciever in the formation rather than staring down one or two and that's a wrap fellas. If Guice catches that ball and Chi doesn't play like shite he'd have easily been 9-14 with 2 TDs and no INT. I'm baffled you jackasses can't see that.

Amazing how the one stat they don't discuss is that in 5 quarters Harris led 1 scoring drive while in less than 3 quarters Etling led 4. The only stat that counts in the final score.

There is no logic or level headedness here.

They were too busy typing on the Rant to actually watch the game.

Totally agree with you but if Dupre catches the passes last week, we may have won as well....

I am one of the ones you are talking about.

He was 0/6 in the 2nd half but that doesn't matter apparently since its just a stat.

he was 6/14 overall that's less than a 50% completion percentage but that doesn't matter since its a stat.

All i'm saying is that if he goes 0/6 in SEC play in any half tell me which games we win. Thats a stat though so it doesn't matter.

I can link up every stat that shows you stats mean more than you think it does.

If you like Etling better than Harris just say that but don't act like he is light years ahead of Harris because he isn't.

Small sample, but yes you are right; however, better than Harris' poor showing to date doesn't make us good.

It may make us better, but not good and considering the competition it's hard to go wild over one quarter.

There is no doubt in my mind that there are people who have tiger rant opened with predetermined threads ready to post about something they think they will be mad at and want to shite on.

We just seen this show with Les too many times. He isn't worried about stats and pocket presence. He wants to run the ball. The second half vs second quarter is the fact.

and you don't think predictable arse play calling has some to do with that in the game vs Wisconsin?

Just like in the 2nd half last night. Predictable play calling. How did that work out for Etling?

Not really. Harris' inability to not air mail or fastball every pass hurt us against Wisconsin

So your theory is that for three possessions we changed our offense then we changed back?

No, I don't agree. I watched Harris overthrow short passes. I watched him several times over the past two games lock on to a reciever and throw to him despite the fact that he was completely covered. I watched teams load up the box because they knew he could not beat them through the air.

From what I saw last night I think Etling gives us a better chance to win. At the very least, he has earned the start. He only had one throw that was completely uncatchable. Harris has far more than that.

you're just repeating the same bullshite that he just addressed in the OP. Yes, 0-6 in the second half is not ideal. The point is that there were numerous dropped passes. The overthrown ball and the batted down screen were his only 2 bad passes ALL NIGHT.

Dude it's pretty obvious that you have a hard on for Harris. I don't think anyone here is pretending that Etling is Aaron Rodgers.

But anyone with two eyes could see that the passing game was hot garbage with Harris. It at least had a pulse when Etling was in.

So you don't think we went back to original offense more in the 2nd half.

The why didn't Etling complete a 2nd half pass then if we didn't change back to running damn near every play

All last week people were bashing Miles for saying "If." But last night and today this board is flooded with people saying the exact same thing.

The eye test doesn't tell the whole story any more than the stats do. Etling showed some positive things last night, but the second half was not good.

the play calling did not change in the second half

Etling was forced, for one reason or the other, to throw deeper balls in the second half

the formations were and scheme were not different. You are fricking dumb.

So what exactly is your solution?

Do you want to ride with Harris?

I don't think you have one. You just can't stand that etling just took bh's job.

Light years? No , Better? Absolutely after only seeing him for one quarter. That should tell you all you need to know about Harris. All we need is a smart QB who can make a defense pay for loading the box
