I subscribe to a channel called ESPN America. They have decided in their wisdom to put Iowa Nebraska on tv on fri, and start LSU - Ark an hour in to the game.

I've been watching all the games all season, often until 4am. I can't believe the programming decision!

Anyone got ideas of how to watch the first half of the game? I'm getting a friend to set up a slingbox but it won't be ready until after the weekend. I hate ESPN

Isn't the game on CBS?

Other wise, steam it.

I hadn't seen this. I also watch most games on ESPN America (in Germany). Since it's CBS, it won't be on ESPNplayer, either.

frick.

Damn, I was gonna say go to lsucast's channel on justin.tv but I just checked and saw his channel got shut down. That sucks balls. That's where I caught all the games that weren't televised.

Have you tried cbssports.com? The SEC games have been streamed over the Internet this season.

CBS games are played on ESPN America. The same rules don't seem to apply overseas. Since it's CBS, it won't be on ESPNplayer, however (formerly ESPN 360 and ESPN3). The CBS.com stream is blocked in Germany, so I guess I'll have to fire up my IP blocker.

I've been disappointed that I can't watch the CBS games on the internet outside the U.S. I subscribe to Geaux Zone. We listen to the radio broadcasts live and then Geaux Zone has the video replays about a day later.

You can. Just download an IP blocker or VPN. I recommend Hotspot shield (even though it sucks) because it's the best free one out there. You just have to deal with the ads while you're running it.

I feel your pain LSU in London, luckily I have a slingbox - do you know anyone in the States that has one and can let you on it for that first hour?

I live in Norway, so I know what you're dealing with. Luckily, I found out about Slingbox before moving. It doesn't always work right (gets frozen up and jumps ahead so you miss some of the plays sometimes). I joined the Geaux Zone for those times when Slingbox won't work and you can at least listen to the game live and watch it later..they post it very soon after the game is over. So I would suggest getting the Geaux Zone and also an IP blocker and see if you can watch the live stream on CBS (or some other website). Good luck!

if you want another ip program i would suggest googling easy hide ip.

i know it cost, but you can get it for 3 days for free without even entering any credit info. this is great since you only need it once... then just uninstall it afterwards..

but yes hotspot shield is perfect bc it's free.

i will have the game on justin.tv come game time.. just go into the sports directory and you'll see it somewhere on there. i prefer it much better to firstrow quality and chat wise.

I don't get the infatuation with Sligbox. I had one for my first year here, and generally found it to be an unreliable nuisance. Others have had better experiences.

If your broadband isn't fantastic--most in Germany aren't--the slingbox isn't some silver bullet.

ESPN America is great for big games, ESPNplayer is pretty good for most others, and CBSsports.com works for games on CBS as long as you use an IP blocker or VPN.
