Rank the level of difficulty of our 2011 opponents

my way too early crack at it
1. @ Alabama: On the road in T-Town. Will be another hard-hitting, physical affair that very well could decide the West.
2. Arkansas: If not LSU/Bama, then the Battle for the Golden Boot could decide the West. Tyler Wilson will fill in very nicely for Mallett, and Petrino will have the Hogs offense rolling by this point in the season.
3. Florida: I look for the Gators to be much improved on offense. Weis was a good OC hire, and they have so many great athletes.
4. vs. Oregon: Likely a top 5 matchup in week one. Hopefully LSU can use the same blueprint as Auburn and have someone step up ala Nick Fairley to disrupt the Ducks on offense.
5. @ Tennessee: I'm sure the Vols will have a bitter taste in their mouths when LSU goes up to Rocky Top, after the disappointing end in this past season's meeting. Tyler Bray stepped up for them as a young QB down the stretch.
6. @ Mississippi State: Thursday night in Starkville, and Mullen will have his team ready. Chris Relf, Chad Bumphis, and a solid D-Line are back for State.
7. Auburn: Still a talented group on the Plains, but obviously there's no Cam or Fairley now.
8. @ West Virginia: Morgantown is always raucous, and Geno Smith is a talented young QB.
9. @ Ole Miss: Brandon Bolden and Randall Mackey could be a good duo for Right Reverend Nutt next season in Oxford.
10. Kentucky: Losing Randall Cobb is a tough blow for Joker Phillips and the Cats. Morgan Newton has some potential though.
11-12 = meh

I think Oregon and Arkansas should flip

At Morgantown will be tougher than next year's Auburn team at home.

I'd switch 3 & 4. Based on everything that has gone down this season, ranking UF above Oregon for next year is a reach at best, IMO
Also, I'd have 5-8 look like this (they are all pretty similar in difficulty though):
@State
@WVU
Auburn
Tenn

Florida will be your 4-5 hardest opponent next year. I think they are not going to have an easy transition year between spread option to pros-style. Could get ugly for them.

Auburns also losing their whole offensive line.

I could see Miss. St being a bit more of a hurdle than Tenn. so I'm flipping those two.

DAMN!!!! The top 8 games on that list are pretty solid. LSU might have the most difficult schedule in the history of College football this upcoming season.

Flip Oregon and Arkansas, and flip Miss St and UF

A WR maybe the only freshman to get any playing time for this class for Oregon.

I'll say:
Way too early Preseason Rank (Per CBS)
Oregon #3
Alabama #4
ArKansas #12
Auburn #15
Miss. St. #20
Florida #25
And I would bet that Tennessee and West Virginia aren't going to be ranked that badly either.
DAMN STRONG SCHEDULE FOR A DAMN STRONG TEAM!!!

Oregon will be the toughest task...FL will be a hit or miss team.....Auburn wont be as bad as people think they will be....WVU loses alot of players but still are pretty stacked as far as speed goes.

Take it from Auburn fans, you guys are going to be in for a nightmare on that trip to Morgantown, especially if it's a night game.
I'm not kidding, their fans put the greatest white trash the SEC can produce to shame. Your fans who travel to that game are going to return with horror stories. Don't bring the kids...seriously.

I know Auburn will be but a shell of itself in 2011 but having to face the reigning BCS champs and runner up in the same season is insane.
Oregon, Miss. St., Bama, and West Virginia will be the toughest games, imo.

Ive been to an Auburn game at night, its actually not that bad....At FL was more of a horror story.
That freshmen for Oregon WR that might see some playing time also runs a 4.2....thats kinda quick lol

West Virginia with Holgerson as OC next year will be better than WVA was this year even with the losses on the offense.
