You may want to stay away from Death Valley this weekend.

1. 2000
2. 2008 - it was a loss, but that was an incredible football game, loudest single moment i've ever heard, along with donaldson's pick 6 against florida, was when rick jean blocked that kick.
3. 2007

it's really hard to rank them because of how many times we lost to them at home, doesn't leave a lot of games left to choose from

Unfortunately, having moved away from Louisiana before we ended Bama's dominance of the 60's and 70's, my list is "worst" rather than "best."

1. 1-9-12--worst feeling I've ever had after a game and it lingered.

2. Thanksgiving Night 1973--my freshman year at LSU, both teams undefeated, LSU #7, Bama #2. Bama wins 21-7.

3. 1975--Coach Mac's only losing season, LSU
plays pretty well but loses to #5 Bama 23-10.

4. 1978--#10 LSU versus #3 Bama at Legion Field; I attended while on a job interview visit to B'ham and was with the potential employer in the Bama section. I've forgotten the details of a 31-10 loss, but remember that I was screaming on an apparent long early LSU TD when the Bammers around me were poking me in the back to see a flag upfield. Some other "what if's" along the way, before a then all-too-familiar 4th Q rolling by the Tide.

Every win over the Tide is something to be savored and I mighily hope, though don't fully expect, to watch another one Saturday night.

Nightmarish end to that year (Sr. HS) with the loss to the yuk Green Wieners @ Tul S and Penn St in the bowl! Luckily missed all!

Damn, refs were still screwing LSU back then, eh?

Yes, that tailspin led into the disappointments of the following year (Miley going pro, the inconsistencies of the veer, etc.) It was over 30 years before I ever felt as good about LSU football as I did just before kick-off vs. Bama in 73.
