ASU looked terrible tackling. That game is at Autzen in October. That is probably one thing that SEC fans don't understand. That is a desert team going to the Northwest and probably playing their first cold weather game. I only say this because geographically the climate doesn't change as much. ASU took some major injuries and lost their lock down corner, their 2nd best backer and their DT rotation didn't look like it was last year without Guy.

Likewise, ASU is not the same defensively. They gave up a lot of running yards to Missouri's 3rd string running back and they had no depth at that position.

They are wildly undisciplined. They have no depth at runningback (injury to Deandre Lewis) and our secondary is by far the best in the PAC. I think we beat them.

I hate to say it but you are right on with everything in this post except I dont think the weather will be a factor.

I just think Oregon's offense is going to look very good this year, especially since the defenses in the Pac are looking subpar ALL THE TIME.

FIFY

ETA But thanks for the shout out. Hopefully our D looks good against good offenses, not just bad ones. So far, so good.

I can't hear you over those excuses! A desert team going to the NorthWest?....WTF....These people are legitimately the most uniformed college football fans in the country.
It will go from like 30% humidity to like 10% humidity just like that. OMG....not fair guys!

As a major college football fan, I would actually like to see OU (oklahoma) and LSU go at it. I think OU is going to put a shellacking on FSU and be the front runner along with LSU. That would be one hell of a matchup: OU offense vs. LSU defense. Of course, Stoops seems shite his pants in bowl games.

Alabama and LSU are the two best teams in the country.

Oklahoma is a distant third, IMO.

The polls are extremely off-base right now.

Oklahoma is good but overrated as usual. Time and time again, same old same old crap.

FIFY.

At the college level, that's what you need to win.

Both teams have a very basic style of offense, that is efficient, but not spectacular.

Defensive depth, and their ability to create turnovers is what sets LSU and Bama apart IMHO.

I don't think anyone's got a better secondary or DL than LSU right now. I don't think Bama will stop you either.

half of those 27 were scored on LSU's prevent D after the game was not in doubt.. especially the last 7 pts (80-100 yds)

Uh, Thank you!!! Bison, dont go getting cocky on us, the Oregon Off. would not fare any better if we played again, "when our Off. is clicking", if that is hinting to your Off. not "clicking" when we played... that my friend would be not accurrate, more accurate would be that the Oregon Off. was not allowed to click!!

Uh, not!! Lucky is more like it... Auburn will be shown what they truly are when we play... they have slid by there last two games by good fortune, one by an opponent that they totally out matched... without wonder boy Cam-the-Scam, they dont have the mojo, its all in Baton Rouge!!

That's funny considering every time I visit my uncle in Seattle I choke on the air when I get off the plane in NOLA coming home. What I'm saying is I disagree.

With or without a garbage touchdown and give away yardage along with it?

With it. Obviously, if a team scores 27 and all of those yards and points came with the game in the balance, the edge would go to that team.

Glad to see you still here Bduck, don't worry about the random ranter throwing insults.

Appreciate the comments, I don't think anyone is going to put up big numbers against us. Arky will probably have the most success, but even they don't have a proven commodity at QB.

If LSU gives up a garbage yardage once the game is in the bag, then I am not sure this should count because when we play a team that is actually competitive enough to take us to the brink, there will be no backing off.

I was hoping Lee broke LSU record for most throws without an int. That would've been a great story for a kid known for pick sixes.

I think being the second best since it is his 3rd start and getting better each weak..

Sat, Sep 24 at West Virginia TBD (ESPN/ESPN2) - -
Sat, Oct 1 Kentucky TBD - -
Sat, Oct 8 Florida TBD - -
Sat, Oct 15 at Tennessee TBD - -
Sat, Oct 22 Auburn TBD - -

We have a long way to go before we need to even think about Alabama. West Virginia will be a tough out, Florida is Florida and at Tennessee with the best QB in the SEC. And one of the better college QB's nationwide as well. Auburn will be better on Oct 22 than they are right now. Hopefully we will stay unbeaten while getting better every week as well.
