i thought that was a GREAT coaching decision by Chip Kelley ... and especially to let the freshman score after fumbling twice in the game ... i was actually impressed by that

That Thomas kid will be something. Kelly has a gem right there.

no doubt ... he just needs to put on some muscles and hold the bowl high and tight ... perhaps watch some clips of smaller players like desean jackson and warrick dunn to learn how to take hits with as little impact as possible so he can stay healthy ...

That "garbage" score could end up being the difference in getting into a BCS bowl or some garbage bowl due to the fouled up BCS formula

um.. no it couldn't

there's a lot of things to complain about with the BCS, but the formula is straightforward and doesn't care about final scores outside of voters.. and one garbage TD isn't going to affect that much/at all

With the skill guys we have...he will only need 12-15 touches a game. The Pac - 12 defense are worse than I can remember right now. Watch Oregon go off this year.

Anyway, I feel better about our offense watching you guys tonight. All those TFL were incredible.

Not sure if that was a subtle shot at Darron Thomas or not

Humans make up a huge percentage though. If Oregon runs through the pac and LSU keeps up what they did tonight, it will look far better.

People will forget about the garbage score and just see the numbers.

I have never seen a Les Miles coached team come out of the gate with as much intensity as LSU did vs Oregon. This team has a whole different feel, one that I haven't experienced in a few years. I knew when LSU took the field that it would be a long day for Oregon. I still think Oregon will win the P12, and is a quality team, but it was the proverbial perfect storm with LSU's defense in that game.

no, not a shot at all ... it just seemed rather obvious that he didn't carry the ball in much traffic in high school cuz he was always running around people ... i was thinking more or less of lil d. thomas pulling a tiki barber transformation

Of course, I think if you hold the bowl high and tight you might burn yourself. I am not up on the proper technique though.

Nothings quite as much fun as watching Oregon's offense when it's going. This D is very fast, strong and coheisive and I'm pleased with the way things have gone so far, save for a few third downs.
The biggest hurdle I see for UO is ASU, they seem to do the best defensively against the ducks and are very good again with the top defensive player nationally in Burfict. I'd love to see the Ducks run the table, hopefully we can do the same.

ASU looked terrible tackling. That game is at Autzen in October. That is probably one thing that SEC fans don't understand. That is a desert team going to the Northwest and probably playing their first cold weather game. I only say this because geographically the climate doesn't change as much. ASU took some major injuries and lost their lock down corner, their 2nd best backer and their DT rotation didn't look like it was last year without Guy.

Likewise, ASU is not the same defensively. They gave up a lot of running yards to Missouri's 3rd string running back and they had no depth at that position.

They are wildly undisciplined. They have no depth at runningback (injury to Deandre Lewis) and our secondary is by far the best in the PAC. I think we beat them.

I was hoping Lee broke LSU record for most throws without an int. That would've been a great story for a kid known for pick sixes.

This.

I still think it was a bad called from LSU Off. Coordinator at that point ( We should pound the rock and take more time off the clock )

I agree that you'll win, I'm just stating that I think thats the best chance for a slip up. The offense might put up even more points this season. Good luck to ya

Our biggest challenge (BY FAR) is the trip against the FURD (stanford). Although, I think Stanford look like they took a step backwards in the rush department.

Good luck to y'all. I will be watching the WVU game.

Good night.

I would like to see Les "go for the throat" more often and put the game away ... there have just been too many times in the past when we have been ahead and we take the foot off the gas and then the game gets too close for comfort in the end ... i realize that this was a different circumstance (this lsu defense is filthy as SVP says and the MSU team wasn't showing much quick strike offense) ....
but, for the most part, i've always thought that les backs off the accelerator too quickly
