Thanks for the info. I guess stats don't lie. We are leading or close to leading in a lot of bad categories.

It's one of those years where the preseason talk was all about this team living and dying by the bullpen which turned out to be very true.
More baffling to me is that we have had brief glimpses of some great bullpen work.

Beck
Bain
Bush
Fontenot
Peterson

have all had moments, then it disappears.

So it's what we know - we lack power at the plate and Dunn is still horrible.

Optimist here but I still think this team has yet to peak. If we do, coild still make a run.

Bain is not a very good pitcher at all.

Admire everything he's done, but if we had relied on him to close with 90% fast balls (Jessie Stallings 2.0) we would have lost some games. Thankful that Todd Peterson found his role and shut the door on teams.

No doubt. Nothing against him at all, but some people seem to think we let the pen struggle, while we let a great pen arm in Bain play in the field. That's just not the case.

I swear I didn't look at answers. Want to take a stab at this, although I'm sure I'll be way off on some, and surprised at the actual answer.

1. Which LSU baseball player has struck out the most?

Watson

2. Who has struck out the fewest times? (minimum of 125 at bats)

Hughes

3. Who has grounded into the most double plays?

Feducci

4. Who is the only LSU player to have started every game this season?

Duplantis (only answer I'm pretty certain of)

5. What player has been hit by pitch the most number of times?

Watson

6. What player has stolen the most number of bases?

Duplantis

7. What player has the most sacrifice bunts?

Hughes

8. What player has walked the most times?

Hughes

The last time LSU did not make regionals, Dunn was not at LSU, it is the reason he was hired.

I still don't understand why PM makes the pitching decisions on when to remove them with whatever input Dunn provides

No, just figured some questions were going to have shocking answwrs, instead of what you would normally think. That's why I didn't select Jordan for getting hit the most. Was just trying to get a surprise one correct.

So we are 3rd in sac bunts...yet we still hit into the most double plays? Our hitting strategy and approach at the plate must be awful

I just edited the HBP answer.

I didn't look down the list below the "regular" starters and missed it that Bryce Jordan also has been hit 7 times just like older brother, Beau.

Those Jordan boys just don't GAF.

High likelihood of no more games at the Box this season, earliest closure date since 2007. That's false for two reasons. In 2010, LSU went on the road to UCLA for a Regional, and I'm pretty sure the whole LSU baseball facility shut down in mid-May 2011. Didn't even make it to Hoover, if I recall.

Go back and check the dates on games played each season and get back to me........
