The hardest pill for me to swallow is the fact that Shep, Randle and Downs lost a damn year for this shite-fest we had this year. However, they gained some valuable experience along the way.

eta: I realize he got significant minutes in the NC game, but Ingram was hurt. If Lafell had gone down, Randle would've been ready to step up, IMO. Quityerbitchin.

The guy ran for over 700 yards this year. You are clueless!

It's a little more difficult for a receiver to wield that kind of influence on a game, he has to have the ball thrown to him by a QB that can find him, I remember Randle being on the field for many a 4 and 5 receiver sets

HE WAS THIRD STRING! Tolliver got like 600 yards. We had no offensive line. You people are freaking retarded

So defend Les not using Shepard when he was clearly providing a spark offensively...

Could you imagine if any of our QB's were thrown into the situation Gilbert was last night?

Do you think they would look anywhere close to as good as Gilbert?

I honestly believe with all my heart Richardson would not have sniffed the field this year at LSU. They would have redshirted him or stuck him on special teams.

And if he did sniff the field he would have gotten stuffed at the line of scrimmage over & over again and people would be complaining about his wasted freshman year.

Bama needed him to back up Ingram. Did we really need Randle to back up Lafell and Toliver?

Saban has a want to use freshmen if they can help.
Justin Vincent comes to mind.

VT - 10 yards
Florida Internationsal - 118
UNT - 87 yards.
Ark - 65
UK - 26
UM - 50
SC - 13
UT - 18
LSU - 27

I've made my point. He got a bunch of yards against UNT, UTC, FIU, and played in one more game than us. You guys respond not by saying we could've used Randle more, but crying because you miss Saban. Bunch of fricking emo kids on this board. Sick of our fanbase.

Our problem was not really that Randle and Shephard did not play. they are both great athletes and will be studs, but Lafell, Tolliver and KW or CS should have been able to hold their own this year.

Our problem was fundamentals, blocking, throwing and play calling. I don't care if we had Jerry Rice on the field, the line couldn't block, Jefferson did not throw and when he did was largely inaccurate and the play calling was not good.

We had the athletes in the skill positions to get the job done. The problems are much more basic than that.

Texas stuffed him several times at the line last night but he would always push forward for 5 yards anyway.
