He may be setting his sights a little high with NC State. They have been recruiting very well. I don't see him being anything more than a reserve player for them, designated shooter.

I don't know if I would go that far. However I do think that all Turner wanted to do was hover around the 3pt line and be a shooter. While in another offense that probably would have been fine, TJ's "offense" (if there even was one) required him to be more of a scorer that just a pure shooter. I don't think he was comfortable in that role. I was hoping he would stay becuase it seems like on next year's team he would drop down to the 2 spot and be just a shooter, while Coleman became the slasher at the 3 that Turner never was going to be.

"very good shooter"???
I hope we don't lose him and it seems we will if he's doing this, but I'm not sure I would label him a very good shooter.
To be honest and no offense to the guys, but I didn't know we had any very good shooters based off their performance to date.

Crank up the Swilling Jr. rumors.

I cranked the old thread back up.

Damn I've always been a Ralston fan. Sad to hear.

I think a change of scenery might be good for both sides. I think LSU will be fine on the wing and hope Ralston improves as well if he goes.

good luck to the guy but I won't miss his lack of what I would call desire to get better
I was not impressed. He is a replacement player at best.

I watched him play in that Marquette game and I thought he was real good. Dont know what happened to him after that game though. Wish him the best. I think with good coaching and a better set of teammates he can do well.

Replace him with Pollard, JJ
Listing Turner at 6'6 2/3" ?

Is it still a rule that you can't sign more than 8 in a 2 yr period?
Posted on 5/9/12 at 1:16 pm to tigabait01
No, that rule is long gone.

They are referring to his position, a combo 2/3.
