Rainey st is about 5 houses in less than 1/2 mile... not much to choose from.
Highest concentration of tiger fans has been Rustic Tap since we been here.

Depends on what you are looking for. 6th has way more bars to choose from, but its also wilder and dirtier....homeless bums pestering you will also be more of an issue. Rainy street is smaller with less to choose from, but is cleaner

As an Austin local I prefer Rainy Street. 6th has changed a lot since I moved here in 2006, and not for the better.

Go east of I-35 on 6th st. It’s going to take 2-3 blocks until it starts being bars and restaurants but then it’s about 10 blocks worth

Aren't they going to bulldoze a large portion of Rainey St. to build more freaking condos? I prefer West Sixth over Rainey, and definitely over Dirty Sixth.
