I’m sure you have no problem with Ed O offering a kid a scholarship and then pulling it a couple of weeks before signing day

Never said that was cool either, but if they want to play the games they are playing, it should only be expected that our coaches will do the same thing.
I think I get your point in that all of it is game playing, but it should still be expected that when you give your word to somebody, you should honor that word, and that goes for both the players and the coaches as far as I'm concerned.
The problem begins when we take commitments from guys that are borderline not good enough to play here, and then the coaches back out because somebody better is interested, but then never actually commits to us, and then we end up losing both players.
It's a never ending cycle that is one aspect of the dirty part of recruiting, but it doesn't mean any of us have to like it.

Like processing a player after a year? Every coach does it
Arik Gilbert was on a 1 year guaranteed scholarship. That’s it

I get frustrated more than most when a player decommits, transfers, etc. But honestly that kid doesn’t owe me anything. I just have a moment of selfishness because I want my team to benefit from their skills.
With that said, I would never teach my kid it’s okay to quit something you start, unless there are special circumstances. You finish what you start, you honor your word etc.

True but you also don't owe him anything either.

It’s enough to make you wanna throw your shoe, I’ll say that

Quitting on your teammates and transferring to compete directly against them is unfathomable to most. Also, in my own experience, when someone says that they have to do what's best for their family, it's generally a justification for some behavior that they're not proud of.

I couldn’t agree with you more, he isn’t going to make or break the offense. Good luck to him and ready to see Taylor progress in this offense.

yes, that is overboard. however, there is something to be said for commitment and resilience. It is important for us to teach these attributes to our children.

"It smell like Bitch in Here."
She be from Luzianner. We all know that because we hear it before every GD kickoff in Tiger Stadium.
Way past time to dump that garbage in the audio trash can where it belongs......

Does anybody else think calling these kids p**sy and b**ches is a lil overboard? I understand the feeling of betrayal but at the end of the day these kids have to do what they feel is best for their family/situation.
So, if UF’s season falls apart in 11 months, will he transfer again? We don’t know the particulars, but it looks like he bailed because it was a tough season for the Tigers.

When fans build up an incoming freshman so much it's bound to cause a reaction if they don't work out or leave. Freshman are never a sure thing even the 5*'s. Fine to be optimistic but best to let it play out before proclaiming a frosh's greatness
