Coach O, one who typically doesn't provide anything of substance in his pressers, even said that Brennan was shaky in the scrimmage. It wasn't until the end that he got rhythm.

Brennan has a strong yet accurate arm, but he hasn't worked out with LSU's offense as Joe has, so I'll give him some slack. But Burrow makes everything about LSU's offense better because he's tough and can also run. Everyone has to be accounted for by the defense.

I thought Brennan was lighting it up out there with the first team and the offense didn’t miss a beat?

Eh? Those were Burrow's words. You doubting the leader of the team?

The head coach has to control the expectations of the fans. Its well documented, some fans are going jump off the Burrow train and demand Orgeron play the best, the second team QB, as soon as there is a bump in the road.

People get upset when I say this but I really don't think Brennan is a SEC caliber QB. If he cant turn the corner and be reliable in year 3, then he will never be ready.
I honestly dont think Orgeron is high on him like most people are on this board.
I've said the same thing for awhile now.

Brennan couldn't take the job two springs ago, when it was his for the taking, with his competition being McMillan and Narcisse, and O was forced to run out desperately seeking a transfer.

Unless he makes some massive strides, which I don't expect, he won't be the answer for us.

come on, now. THat's Burrow's version of coachspeak.

What's he supposed to say - "my backup stinks?"

They're all fragile - Have you seen what's been happening around the SEC??? Both Bama and Auburn caught an injury bug and I'd like to avoid that myself...

Jacoby Stevens told reporters that Coach O wasn't happy when Burrow got hit by the defense. Make coach O mad, run laps.

Do you really think Burrow would say anything different about his backup?
