Doesn't matter Doc. Just like it doesn't matter that Landry ran the wrong route. It's all Mett

The pick was Mett's fault. But the return, and nearly a pick six was on the rest of the offense; mainly the receivers. If we dedicate to the Pass, then int's are gonna happen, and I am fine with that on deep balls (occasionally) if we can tackle.

Some Lsu fans I know, all they want to do is blame the qb when you can clearly see that the offensive troubles are not his fault (the majority)

Yeah, that throw was a pretty bad decision, but I think he showed some good flashes of coming to life against USC. Man, he's got such great posture when he throws a football, it's crazy. All he needs is one of those breakout games, one of those games where he says "aha, ok, so that's how it goes." He's so close. I would love for A&M to be that breakout game!

It was a max protect play, everyone else was blocking. Sometimes those things happen.

They have said up here that Miles and Co has failed to develop a QB. I believe it is true.

Anybody who says otherwise needs to take off the purple and gold blinders. This is the 4th straight year that we've had mediocre to poor QB play. We've gone through 3 different QBs (if you count Andrew Hatch) and 2 offensive coordinators in the past 4 years, and the results have been the same. Either the coaches are very poor evaluators of QB talent or they haven't a clue how to develop a QB when they have one.

Does Mett need to step it up, sure he does, but the problems on offense are far from being his fault.

Mainly because of Crowton. People are idiots if they don't think Lee progressed from his RS freshman year. He led the sec in passing efficiency last year, even with the bad game against Bama. Plus the fans deserve blame for almost destroying his confidence, which probably set his development back as well.

This is only Krags second year with the team. People are just pissed because everybody hyped Mett up so much. Now that they seem him playing average they want to blame everybody else. Not many qb coaches can develop a player in two years. Seeing how Rivers develops over the next few years will give us an accurate measurement of what Krags can do. Plus you have to consider his recruiting impact on Rettig and Jennings.

I think LSU may have a shot at the Natty next year if they hire an offensive staff that can work with Mett. Im not ready to label him a bust I just think he needs to be coached up. If the defense is good next year I think LSU has a shot at the west because we will probably be down and looking for a coach.

Hard to be great when many of your receivers have stone hands this season.

partly coaches' fault for the same play calls and partly good defensive play by the CB. He read it and jumped extremely fast on the route.

Not every int we throw is our fault, sometimes the defense just makes a play.

He's basically a redshirt freshmen with allot of talent.

Mett will develop but we need juco help at wide out!

If only Cordell Paterson (if I got the name right) had come to LSU instead of Tenn he was leaning LSU and switched to Tenn .

Stud's for calling the same play over and over. Plus, LSU isn't the only team with good players. The CB recognized the play and jumped the route. When the ball was released he was 3 yards behind the receiver.

I said virtually the same thing the morning after the game...

I disagree with Ronald Martinez. I'm more concerned with the decision making process by Mettenberger at this point than the execution. And Mettenberger has not been making bad decisions. I believe the execution will improve as Mettenberger and the receivers gain experience.
