I was at this game at La Tech. What a beautiful beatdown by NLU. Stan Humphries had a field day that day. The whining arse Tech fans were pathetic!

Everybody knows that LSU has more depth than La Tech. I remember when schools like Tech, NLU, McNeese, USL got considerable less money as a group from the state than what Tulane & LSU got.
If LSU can't dominate a school like Tech they might as well give up.

IMHO, Tech fans are just as delusional as Alabama's, but with more of an inferiority complex, due to the lack of success and extreme amounts of money wasted as a sub-par part of the WAC.

They won't play ULM now, and that is ashamed. ULM has previously tried to open communications, but I guess they are too busy wasting everyone's time in the WAC.

Regarding them beating LSU, tech has never had a defense that could hang with LSU, ever. Rattay was good, but tech never has had good defenses.

Sad thing about it is it would be a sellout every year! But they would rather play an occasional WAC team on ESPN with a with a half empty stadium! Do you ever notice how the cameras never pan the entire stadium it is a joke!

Their record versus Louisiana Tech vs Louisiana-Monroe during the 70's/80's is 10-10!

Put it this way, Rattay's senior year Tech defense was considerably weaker than his Junior year. Crowton's offense would have easily had another 100 yards of offense against Nebraska if it wasn't for penalties.

The last game drew all of 14K in Monroe.

Sad thing is that both La Tech and NLU should have stayed in 1AA. The old GSC was a good one for USL also.

I think it's hilarous this NLU guy keeps talking about the beatdowns NLU put on Tech in the 1980s. Dude, have you noticed the scores from the last five games in the series. Why would Tech want to play you if the Dogs keep putting up 50 points on your pathetic butts.

You mean the throngs of tech fans couldn't drive 30 miles to attend? That attendance count doesn't speak well of either team's fan base.

hell, without playing NLU/ULL, they have no rival

I love Coach Dooley & would like all ex=LSU coaches do well, but until they play their Monroe rival again, I will root against them.

Lincoln Parish is not wet enough to get them to Monroe.

Well, I don't know for sure, but certainly not as many as tech should have had there. They and ULM are literally in each other's back yard.

Does anybody think that LSU playing the state schools is good for the state or good for recruiting?
