When in comparison to one of the very most successful coaching staffs in the college game today...we are "all idiots".

Yet our offense looked the same as last season. Run heavy with passing to keep a team honest.

It amazes me that you are surprised at this. Where in your fevered brain did you ever concoct the idea that Miles was going to resurrect the Fun-N-Gun offense?

A FREAKING MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I truly wish the admins of TD would permanently ban these idiots that continually bitch about LM, not winning in "pretty" fashion, our gameplan etc.....By design, nothing was shown last night. We can expect the same next week and the week after.

This LSU team is stacked and WILL contend for a National Championship this year!!!!

and he got plenty last night....managing the game, flow, timing, cadence, rhythm, etc., etc. are just as critical as throwing 5 more intermediate/deep routes than he actually threw.

Indeed, reading live defenses coupled with pocket awareness is also important, and something you can only improve at with more live repetitions. I just feel the excessive number of wr screens were detrimental to this cause.

but we need Mettenberger to be a game manager and that's it.

F_ _ K off!!. Mett, another game manager..please? You are a troll. We would call plays for a game manager with even Dan Marino with you and Les Miles as anything that counts as a coach or game planner. You are too conservative and probably was a virgin till 30 the way you think.

Ok. So you actually believed that losing that one game would make Miles ditch his lifelong football philosophy that has made him one of the winningest coaches in the country?
You believe this?
Amazing!!

OK then tell me who made YOU an expert? If he is getting heat for being a self [proclaimed expert, I'd like to see your credentials.
You are certainly sounding like you are an expert.
Are you?

Point is we played a team that had no chance of winning. So CLM played it straight.

If he keeps doing the same thing after "that one game", then he's one of the dumbest coaches in the country.

With our talent, Les Miles' philosophy will win us a ton of games, but it's not going to win them all. His lack of gameplanning to attack the opponents weaknesses is what's bothering so many of us. It's great that he sticks to his guns, but eventually you have to alter the gameplan.

Yet he is one of the most successful coaches in the country. Interesting isn't it? Les makes millions of dollars by being dumb and a smart guy like you doesn't make his tip money. Unfair I say. Unfair!!!

And his strategy should keep him one of the most successful coaches as long as our talent is far superior to most. But you can't stubbornly run down the throat of every team you come against, you have to make adjustments to the gameplan.

We had 500+ yards of offense and scored 41 points.

Ok? That's expected. We have the best players in the country. Also, that North Texas team was arguably the smallest to ever walk into Tiger Stadium.
