Quick look ahead to the MLB draft...

LSU Players
Ryan Eades-Should go in the early to mid 2nd round. Some team may jump up to grab him earlier but it would suprise me.
JaCoby Jones-His tools alone will have him selected somewhere around rounds 3-5.
Mason Katz-Katz won't have a true position but a team will take him as a 2B/LF/DH most likely before round 12.
Raph Rhymes-Like Katz he doesn't have a true position but could go anywhere from rounds 15-25 as a contact hitter.
Ty Ross-Ty Ross is someone who will have a very tough decision to make at the end of the summer. He won't go top 10... more likely 14-20.
Nick Rumbelow-Probably will be a tweener in rounds 10-20.
LSU signees
Justin Williams-Once that lock in the middle of the pack 1st round, he's now found himself in rounds 2-5. I personally want to see if anyone gambles on him early in the draft with his raw power that hasn't fully developed.
Nick Longhi-A two way prospect that I think will get looks at for his arm before his bat. Projects anywhere from rounds 5-15.
David Palladino-Huge JUCO right hander who should go anywhere the near round 10.
Jared Poche-Left handed pitcher who dominated locally over this past spring. Could go anywhere from rounds 6-12 or drop due to signability.
Kramer Robertson-Shortstop from Texas who I feel is a strong commitment to play college ball. His talent is anywhere from rounds 15-30.
Jake Fraley-Fast outfield from Delaware who's considered a hard sign by pro teams. He could go anywhere from rounds 8-20 if that.
Danny Zardon and Jarret DeHart are two guys who teams may take fliers on late in the draft.
Outside of Williams, Longhi, and Palladino I would be suprised if anyone else were to sign.

What about Rumbelow and Ibarra? I saw Rumbelow was in the Top 500 that BA put out the other day.
ETA: You added RUmbelow, nvm

No Ibarra?
Honestly I doubt he's taken in the top 15 rounds and after that it becomes a choice of minor league ball or another year at LSU.

So we can expect him back.
Hypothetical question: if bregman were eligible, where do you think he gets drafted?

would we likely see this guy at second base with bregs at short?

Yes. One of either Robertson, Zardon, Dean, etc...
Bregman's not going anywhere.

Foster is probably the leading candidate for 2B.

Foster is also the leading candidate to take over for JaCoby as my fave player....

From what I'm hearing, Poche's family is well off. I believe his dad's a doctor or grandfather is..or maybe both. Unless some team overdrafts him in the 1st or supplemental, he'll probably come here. Got this info from some Lutcher people with ties to the current LSU team.

Foster is probably the leading candidate for 2B.
Adam, awesome work, as usual!

I read the same thing on the recruiting board earlier this week. Would love to get him

I like the fact that Williams is slipping. He will have a decision to make IMO, but I still think he goes pro.
