I live in the USA and I've always been told that baseball is America's past time. I also love dropping bombs and watching bombs being dropped!

Played it. Also, as it relates to LSU, the baseball program was awesome to follow in the late 80s and 90s, while the football program was garbage.

I heard there was a coach to complain about so I took an interest in it.

I grew up playing it. It's a thinking man's game. It doesn't appeal to the ignorant masses who can't appreciate nuance. All good things in my book.

A good game that can bring fathers and sons together. Some of my favorite moments with my dad took place with us throwing a baseball around.

Football is a game about how to compete in times of war.

Baseball is a game about how to compete in times of peace.

Football involves coming together with your comrades in times of intense pressure and destroying the other team.

Baseball involves traditions passed down from father to son, endless details upon details, and managing yourself for the long haul without burning out on the ups and downs of natural cycles that occur.

Right. If you watch baseball and see 3 seconds of action followed by 30 seconds of nothing, then you don't have the attention span and/or intelligence to appreciate the game. I enjoy college baseball because the managing decisions are less predictable and you see more risk than in MLB.

Ftr, I still play baseball in competitive tournaments with a travel team. And it's by far my 3rd fav sport behind LSU basketball & football. Just too damn boring 90% of the time.

Playing it growing up it was always my favorite sport and after moving down to this area in the early 90s I became a huge tiger baseball fan... I actually wasn't worth a shite on the diamond and ended up playing football at tulane in the early 2000s. Even after playing football for so long I couldn't give a shite about the sport to be honest but I live and die for the spring in the box. Fans are classier, players arent frick ups, etc, etc.. It's far and above my favorite sport to follow. .

It is my second favorite sport. What other sport can you keep score in and argue about whether it was a error or a hit? It is a detail oriented sport that I love to coach. You can take an average bunch of kids that have heart and work ethic and turn them into winners.
