Why are his biggest supporters the same ones that were Os biggest detractors?

Is it scheme or talent?

If talent is your answer where would you say we rank in defensive talent...top 10, 20, or worse?

Is his scheme only effective with top notch talent and depth...seems to me a defensive genius would adapt to his personnel and scheme to hide deficiencies.

What needs to be done to correct our defense or is this just something we have to expect from now on? We have become a big 12 defense.

Funny. That’s the same thing I was saying last night about the 3 plays Ole Miss kept running on us in the 2nd half.

I don't really consider myself an "Aranda Supporter" although I've largely defended him this year. (other than the last TD vs Bama)

But, it's very challenging to tell because we really have no disruptors on the DL in terms of affecting the passing game. Everyone loves them some Chaisson but meh is all I have to say there.

And, in the back end, it just seems very obvious that Delpit is playing hurt.

Kary Vincent is finally playing a little football, but for a while, he was a completely liability not only in coverage but in tackling.

I don't know why we haven't landed the level of talent we need on that side of the ball, but, I simply don't think we have. Maybe that's his fault? Dunno

And in the second half of most games a weak Big 12 defense!

SIX HUNDRED and 14 yards to Ole Miss!

Aranda's done, he needs to be playing chess in Central Park, not coaching football for 2.5 Mil a year!

It is not Aranda's fault Queen lets Plumlee run right by him at the line! These are suppose to be big time athletes that should make plays.

I think recruiting on the defensive side of the ball has been down. D-line and linebackers .
What y’all think?

Why??? Because fans shouldn't be pulling their hair out when a team that has the ability to PLAY DEFENSE gives up 400yds of rushing? Or because LSU pays Aranda 2.5m and his defense has been, for the most part, garbage all year? OR you want it to stop because the narrative from you is: we won or we 10-0 baby or relax, Aranda will fix it, or some other BS you sling out there.

Remember we had the best LB on the team simply walk away because he liked to do something else than play football.

It’s not just talent, but coaching at this level. A 3 star can be coached up. We should have learned this during the CLM era - don’t rely on talent alone.

Stop trying to do this. None of you are ever right with your perceived groupings.

As a defensive genius shouldn’t he be able to overcome weaknesses with blitzes and stunts though? I realize our front 4 isn’t good with pressure but isn’t it his job to try things tohelp them...I guess he thinks one day they will just become like Auburn’s DL

What’s going to be said when O retains Aranda ? Y’all gonna turn on O too?

Of course the fan base should want better. If our D plays like this next year then yeah maybe Arandas seat should get scorching hot but it’s obvious that talent is the issue right now.

If our defense continues to play like this we shouldn’t want better as a fan base? I’m not advocating to replace Aranda I’m trying to find out what fans think needs to happen to improve...didn’t we do this about the offense for years?

Certain posters have DA above reproach and they were also Os biggest haters. There is definitely something to it.

We need to recruit better on the DL to improve and that’s obvious.
