I'm new to this board so I haven't gotten a full picture of who makes up the participants. But it seems to me that LSU had a shot to beat the 2nd ranked team in the country on the road with at least 4 starters out of the game. And yet many people on this board want to fire the coach, the OC, the SC coach. There is a great chance that LSU will finish 11-2. I've been an LSU fan all my life, but I live about 600 miles away for BR. So my only interaction with Tiger fans is the few I know and now this board.

So here's my question: Are all LSU fans in LA malcontents or is it just the folks on this board? Can we not enjoy the Tigers even if they lose a couple of games to great teams?

I'm going to assume that this board constitutes the worst of the worst fans that LSU has to offer. I run across a lot of UT and Bama fans everyday, and I thought they were pompous but many of the folks on this board make them sound like Frank Capra.

Just curious.

You'll quickly learn that reason and logic are not welcome on this board.

Absolutely not. There's a reason why they are called "rantards."

This is the official home of the LSU malcontents. Doesn't make it any less entertaining.

There is a pretty clear demarcation between LSU fans over and under the age of 35 from what I can observe. Many of the younger fans have pretty much only seen success since they started watching LSU. Many of the gripes I agree with but I think much of the complaining is over the top and probably related to a certain level of entitlement over the last ten years. Add to the fact that Saban coaches right under our noses at Bama and it just adds insult to injury in their minds. Much of the griping directed at Miles and company could be directed at pretty much any other succesful program in the country and I happen to see many of the same gripes on other team's message boards. Some of these things are just natural to college football. College kids will make mistakes. Some of the criticisms are legit like penalties, clock management. Just my observation and take on things.

Yeah, your probably right, but ALL the guys here are fans. Its just like the stock market, you'll have your Bulls and Bears, both want to make money. We all want the Tigers to win, just have are own ways of expressing it,like we have some kind of control over the process. We all want to keep the program at the top,a Carroll or Saban-like recruiting presence, and some hardware in January. The older guys are content with how improved the program is from their time, and the younger guys only see NC's from thier time. Everything is relative, thats just life.

We should become friends - I love LSU win or lose and yes we have been winning more than losing over this decade. We should be proud that LSU is considered a top program.

I love LSU football and I hate that we lost Saturday but dang it - this is still fun

Im just glad we arent South Carolina...now that is some sad stuff

Downright heartbreaking. Talk about some hearty souls. The fact that they still even have fans is a miracle in itself. The low point was Adiosuck's attempt to console himself Friday night with the fact that the women's soccer team was kicking arse. First time I think I have truly felt sorry for a poster on this site. I had to turn away for a second it was so uncomfortable.

bullshite

Sure our duumb moves may have not killed us in a perfectly officiated game, but that is not real world.

Even with the screwing we got, a better prepared and better managed team would have had a great chance to overcome all the obstacles.

What would you give for two timeouts in the last quarter??

Would you like to not have tried for a block on a punt??

Would you like a team in the eighth game to be able to line up without delay of game or timeout wasting or penalty for illegal alignement??

just wondering how much less prepared you would accept in a major game.

We get away with this crap against Tulane etc. but not against quality opposition.

and I didn't even mention play selection - whiich was actually not too bad this week - only three or four stupid options to the short side.

Timeouts are overrated and get in the way of the flow of the game. We didn't need 'em. Bama was better. Deal with it buddy or it is going to eat you up inside.

Very few have reason and logic, the ones that do are easy to find.

You should come to our Tidesports.com forum. You'll see some of the same behaviors, and we won the game...

Not even close.

I have been a Tiger Fan for over sixty years - I have seen it all - the good, the bad, and the ugly.

This ain't even close to ugly.

But I do remember the halycion years of the late fifties when I was at LSU - I saw a reignition of that two years ago and got my old red corpuscles pumping like they haven't in years.

All I do is watch college football for fun, but LSU football is pretty improtant.

All I want is to give our kids a fighting chance to win. I hate to see the officials take the game away from them, and I hate to see their potential wasted by incompetent coaching decisions.

But, I can easily ignore the whole thing without feeling withdrawal - I have done it before.

Just like quitting smoking.

You will also learn that if you disagree with people you would be considered an idiot, yet if you agree you are considered reasonable and use logic.

I have learned that fairly quickly

Although I've only been a Tigers fan for over 40 years.
