re: Question about the 2012 LSU Football team

The offense will be tangibly better than 2011.
The defense should be about the same overall caliber.
The special teams is arguably the best in the country.
The schedule is a good bit easier.
The chaos of personality of 2011 is most likely behind the team.

All of this makes me think LSU ends up in ATL in early Dec, and is the national favorite to make it to Miami Gardens' Sunlife Stadium in early January.

He caught a lot of guppies with that bait. See you in September or whenever..

Seriously? You realize yall lost a National Championship 2 years ago right?

I don't know if we will go 13-0, but I expect a very successful season this year. I feel strongly a double digit winning season is upon us. But we play in the strongest conference in the nation, and on any given Saturday, if you don't bring your "A" game, you can be beat. I trust Miles to do as he always has done and have our team ready each week. Got to tee it up and bring it. Can hardly wait.

As a UF fan, and I think most of the nation agrees with us....we kept expecting an offensive performance from LSU like they showed on 1/9 all year. Each week, I would watch the games and just kept waiting on them to lay an egg with their qb play and offensive game planning. I think thats why they were 13-0 against the spread before the title game.

Obviously they will have more talent at the QB position than last year. Do you guys expect to be 13-0 and playing for the national title again?

I, like many other LSU think Crystal ball or bust. I think most agree that 2012 team SHOULD be just as good/better in all phases of our game but I think many of us have forgotten about the level of competition in the SEC. Our schedule is favorable compared to 2011 but no SEC game is a given W. That being said I EXPECT wins against every team we play in the regular season outside of Bama (toss up). As good as LSU will be in 2012, you can't expect a national championship but I do expect a 11+ win season. 10-2 regular season will be underachieving and disappointing.

Last time most people saw LSU on the field, they witnessed the offensive players and coaches quitting after a few series in the bowl game.

Unlike the rest of the rant, I'm not sold on this team(particularly the offense) until they prove it on the field.

that being said

I believe this team is gonna be actually better than the 2011 team! and I think that 1/9 could be a blessing in disguise! By that, I mean I expect them to have a "nasty" chip on their shoulder! Would not be surprised if we go 14-0 and win it all ( hope so ), but I do not see us losing 2 games. Maybe 1

Most fans will go into meltdown if we don't win the BCS National Title Game, me included. I am worried about our weak linebacker corps, but I had the same concern last year and it didnt seem to effect our stout D.
