Buddy we have a world of problems. We play a mobile QB and forget how to play football. We act like spying the QB is illegal. Offensive line would get bullied by my son’s flag football team. We aren’t physical at all. Coaches act like the shite isn’t happening.

Our head coach is the problem.

What would Kiffin do with these players? We would be a Top 30-40 offense at a minimum.

Say you are correct about MVB’s speed compared to Nuss

You aren’t but let’s pretend

MVB isn’t scared whereas Nuss is. There are times that Nuss needs to run and he doesn’t, the chains don’t move when they should, points don’t accumulate, and the defense is faced with mission impossible game after game.

That is what Sloan has been doing all season. Calling the 5 plays we can execute.

You can see from the first MVB play, a seam route dart that went for about 20 yards.

The QB draw was an excellent call. Blame Davis if we blame anyone.

This year is a wash. What is the value of putting Nuss back out there with no eligibility. Time to cut bait and let MVB get some meaningful snaps. He may not be the guy for next year but at least you’ll know.

At this point Nuss isn’t the difference maker in any of these games so what’s the point?

Also just throw the ball deep and middle of the field every now and again.

Quarterback play is a problem. It isn’t the problem.

Play calling

Oline

Then QB play are the offensive problems.

It starts with the OL and they are poor.
We need an elusive quarterback to compensate but we rely on a 3yard and cloud of dust passing game. Target men double-teamed on ever play, defender +sideline.

It’s a problem. But it’s one of like 50 problems unfortunately

We haven't had a RB run for more than 753 yards in a season since Kelly took over. Without Jayden Daniels, we've never had more rushing yards/game than our opponents in a season. I can't even find sack stats on LSUsports.net because they stopped putting them on the site last year. I'd imagine it's because, outside of Daniel's Heisman year, we've had more offensive sacks than our opponents every season.

Has Nuss gotten worse this year? Yes, absolutely. But so has Durham, Perkins, half our OL, most of our WRs, our punter, our special teams, DBs that've been passed by freshman.

We have the worst OC in college football right now, one of the worst OLs, WRs that can't consistently line up correctly, run routes, or catch the ball. We consistently have RBs whiffing on blocks, missing holes while running. We target Bauer Sharp 2x/game than we do Green. We've made Aaron Anderson and Zavion Thomas a nonfactor.

On defense, we have a DL who can't tackle a QB, LBs that are confused and slow, and a great safety and CB who are doing their best to hold things together.

And we have a head coach who doesn't even know how to fix any of the issues, per his own words last night.

But, yeah. Let's put it all on 1 player.

Suck but MVB isn’t the answer

MVB isn't going to win any awards amd he isn't a great QB but you've got to make a change somewhere. Nuss threw the ball to the sidelines on 95% of his passes last night. He panics under pressure and then makes horrible decisions. MVB simply running when the O Line breaks down would give the offense a better chance of success than Nuss. The fact is, there are serious problems all over the offense. Dropped passes, missed assignments, bad O Line play, horrible play calling and bad QB play. This is just a bad offense. I'm having a hard time seeing where the preseason hype came from.

QB play is a drop in the bucket

No sir. The QB is the heart and soul of any football team. A good QB can cover for team weaknesses in other areas-- look at Indiana with Mendoza, or Vandy and Pavia.

Same is true with Jayden Daniels at LSU. Historically terrible defense in 2023 and yet we still finished 9-3 overall and 6-2 SEC. Daniels' excellent play was not only entertaining, but kept the team in the game to the very end. We came within a wisp of winning at Ole Miss with possession on the ball at the end of an offensive slugfest.

I agree. The O line is the root issue. I think playcalling is about 3rd or 4th in the line of problems.

MVB isn't running for 1000+ yards and saving this offensive line and staff. He isn't Jayden Daniels. He isn't capable of being anything close to that.
