So now that we have our OC and PGC. Which QB fits into their system? Do we know what their system exactly is? They don’t have any experience really calling plays, we assume it’ll be the Brady Binder. Would one of the QBs on the roster fit better into what they want to do.

The good thing is, we can play both in different situations

Mobility I think will be more important which will favor Johnson next year but actually favor Nuss the most

Both? We have 4 Scholarship QBs. Also, No one wants to play 2 Qb systems.

At this point Brennan is the better choice, regardless of preference. You fit the scheme to your best QB. That’s Brennan

This is why we need to hope there is a full spring practice schedule.

Get the system put in place and Peetz and Mangas can get a good look at who they think will fit the best.

If I had to guess. Ideally the Joe Burrow mold. Quick decision maker, accurate, above average arm, bigger guy, and mobile enough to get you out of negative plays. Probably in that order more or less.

If Peetz uses a lot of RPO it’s Max Johnson’s job to lose I think. Without knowing if Brennan is even healing from his injury yet I think the offense is set up to use a QBs feet more and healthy or not Max has that advantage over Myles.

I think Myles deserves first crack at it. If Max takes that huge step forward then let him roll but there is nothing that Myles did last year that hurt the offense when he was starting.

Other than his 2 interceptions against Miss. State in a losing effort and choking against Missouri with 4 downs from the 1 yard line to win the game.

Brennan has to be the obvious choice. A good coordinator uses the skills of his QB to fit his offense. But it’s gonna be a great competition

If your quarterbacks numbers are:

345 yards 3 tds (yes had two bad ints- Miss State)
35 points

430 yards 4 tds- Mizzou
41 points

Those should not be losses. There is zero freaking reason an LSU defense should give up 44 to miss state and 45 to mizzou.

You can blame the coaches for shitty play calling here, but you can’t blame Brennan. Unknown to fans at the time, Brennan had suffered a season ending injury in the first quarter and played the whole game in pain and still threw for over 400 yards.

That was one of the grittiest performances in LSU history and should be admired, not criticized.

QBs don’t run in an RPO.

More concerned with the 1-2 record.

Whichever is best at running the RPO. Mobility is secondary.
