No sir….. an RPO gives the QB the option to hand the ball off to the RB or throw the ball in the area that was vacated by the read defender. An RPO is not a design for a QB

I never said a qb was but having an athlete at qb helps and thats exactly what i was saying about the rpo, did you even bother to read. Geeeze

Answer this if a defensive end is being isolated/unblocked and he crashes down the los, what does or will the qb do when riding the rb with the ball ? Im not gonna say why the d end is crashing down, you should know why. So tell me who gets the ball and why?

Tarpon08 everything you said is incorrect. Thats why if your a coach, ask yourself why your losing and then read what your reply was. The rpo was put together from all of the other offenses I mentioned. The only difference is it’s ran out of the shotgun. You literally could not answer the questions. I knew you was an idiot. Any real coach will tell you im correct. I got dowvoted because these people never saw JJ play the position in hs. It’s not like the offense lsu is running is working so. Anyways your answers would get laughed at irl in a coaches office And the rpo is not based off of the p in rpo. The most basic play is the read of the isolation not a pass. Of course you most likely played for South Lafourche. That explains alot

Lmao….. you may call what you described as an RPO, but that’s technically incorrect.

. How would Juan be effective in an RPO game plan when the part the QB has to execute is the pass and that’s exactly Juan’s weakest part of his game

go watch game film of him in hs. Sure every player may have weak parts of their game. Isn't that what the coaches are for? What part of nuss was better? He over threw brown for a td and threw another senseless int. He literally led the offense to 1 touchdown in a full game. We dont have a running game, so tell me how the current offense is any better than anyone else's suggestion here? The current offense is the worst its been in 25 yrs

Congrats on being a cool "male" grammar teacher.

On a message board, eggheads are correcting others on what they type. Ghey 1000%

Is it an RPO or does the QB have the option to keep it and run? They would usually leave the DE unblocked on a Zone Read. If DE stays home he would give it. If DE crashes QB keeps and runs. This is not an RPO play.

These are 2 different things which you have yet to acknowledge. My description of an RPO play was accurate on page 3 and I got “everything you said is incorrect”.

RPO plays are quick reads for the QB to give it or throw it. On these plays he isn’t reading the unblocked defender he is reading the LB’s/DB’s in coverage.

Play mvb at QB. Think Johnson has a lot of potential at rb.

I can envision running a toss to Johnson then he throws a deep pass to a wide open guy. Dude has a skillset and you can create some wrinkles for him. Thats why i don't complely disagree with the OPs comment about using the talents of the guys you have. Now, if you believe what BK is saying about putting the brakes on the offense, then you can see why the lack of creativity on the offense is happening.

Hell I hope Johnson is an absolute stud here and think he can be. But it sure the frick won't be as the starting QB.

They have practiced him some in the wildcat. Run a couple of random plays at wildcat and then you can have a pass off it. But those are all trick plays and should be done very sparingly. In no way should he be our starting QB.

Oh never said he should be starting QB. But its a disservice not to use his skillset at certain spots in a game.
