As a body of work, it really appears coach O and staff has done a very good and interesting job of filling out this coaching staff. I think the defensive hires will result in a 180 “night and day” improvement from last season, and really excited to see what peetz and mangus are able to cook up in the lab and execute on offense coming from the brady tree. Hopefully this group can pull out a couple of big surprises to finish strong on nsd, and get a lot installed going thru spring.

Just hope the defensive staff put an emphasis on tackling and can make adjustments.

After watching Peetz interview he said he isn't trying to be Joe Brady, so im curious to see exactly what type of scheme he plans on implementing.

Maybe pump the brakes a little. I think there will be a huge improvement BUT the true test will be LSU's ability to prevent giving up the big play, especially through the air.

From a personal standpoint.

Doesn’t mean the offense won’t be the same/similar.

Can’t blame anyone but O for that though.

I expect some bumps with such young coaches, but with the experience returning, we should be significantly better

Average age of staff now is 38 vs. 58 last year.

That in and of itself guarantees nothing, but one would think it would bring more energy and better communication. We'll see.

I took that more to mean specifics and personality more than an overall scheme. He can run the same offense and add a few wrinkles of his own. Peetz isn’t coming in here to bring a completely new system.

Tackling is an issue at every level including the NFL.
I thought the targeting rules would have helped, but not so.

It’s frustrating because it is the most fundamental aspect of “tackle football”.

Anyway, this could be a big year for the Tigers!

I would have felt better had he said I’m going to be just like Joe and Steve. I think a lot of people took that as him saying ...hey we will win a few games but I’m not looking for Nattys or anything.

Coach O might be stubborn but he's not stupid as some have claimed. He's been around long enough to know that you have to fix problems on you team or you're history.

He's got the 2021 season to fix it all or he will be history.

I'm sure Woodward has already told him to pretty much "Shite or get off the Pot."

The Old Boomers held it together just fine with consecutive top 5 classes......Let’s hope the young bucks can at least keep that up. Hell Im the same avg age as the new hires.....and I can’t relate with anyone under 30 these days.

The youth and excitement is all good though.
