Well if it takes uniform changes to get this guys motivated to play against elite competition, then we have a big problem

It'd take alit to make me quit watching LSU play football, but constantly fricking with these uniforms is certainly a start.

LSU tradition is bigger than current crop of players passing through.

It's a privilege to get to wear the inform the way it is.

These threads sure make the Johnny come lately LSU fans easy to spot.

Two ways to piss the Rant off....

1) mention Les Miles
2) post a new uniform. Any uniform.

And they don't look badass to people that drive dodge minivans, wear sun visors, tighty whiteys, and suspenders with high white crew socks.

Not bad as long as they're never used for an actual game

It's practice for crying out loud! Tradition is not what attracted these student athletes to these schools. Winning, Facilities, Gameday Environment, Education, oh and the big thing the chance to play in the NFL. Not once have you heard a kid say yea I want to come to LSU bc of the tradition. LF came here bc he wanted to represent his state and that's why most are here bc of state pride not tradition.

How can you say players don't care about tradition? Are you stupid?

Just don't see the issue. We're staying within our color scheme. Everything worn was in practice, will never be worn in a game and probably will never be seen outside of the facility. BTW....here is next year's uniform template.

Half the mofos don't even know the Alma mater! Do you hear the mumbling from the team after games? Tradition is not what attracted them to LSU period. When it comes to uniforms you bet the players would jump at the chance to wear a concept with that helmet over the traditional uniform. I know for a fact that most of the players like the purple jerseys over the white and if it was their choice Purple would be for Home games.

I'm a 34 y.o. booster/season ticket holder who's been attending games since I was a kid. Like I said earlier, I am usually a staunch traditionalist. That being said, there's nothing wrong with liking something new, especially if it's only a helmet used in a scrimmage.

As much as we might find comfort in tradition, we have to also accept that things change with time. Stadiums change, campuses change, coaches change, logos change, the paint schemes in the endzones change, the facilities change, the players change, the radio guys change, band directors change. Change is a part of life. And one day, the butts in our seats will change too because we'll no longer be here.

Until that time, I'd rather us do whatever it takes to keep top recruits coming in. And, as much as we may not like multiple unis, reality is recruits love that stuff. I'd much rather our uniforms pass recruiting standards than traditionalist fan standards. The result on the field is more important to me than what we're wearing. But that's just my opinion.
