you are in a sporting event, of course the food is overpriced and mediocre

That would be an improvement.

This consession company has been a complete disaster. Horror stories abound. Eat before the game!

Aramark is awful but the problem is that they have good groups working those stands that depend on the money made from concessions.

I teach HS and sponsor two clubs. Our main fundraising comes from working LSU concessions. We use that money to sponsor families for Christmas, buy school supplies for kids who can't afford it, donate to local charities, help pay for out of state events we attend etc.

Sure some groups working aren't like us, but some are.

A large number of the concession stands now aren’t run by HS clubs anymore. Aramark employees are running them. Those are flat garbage.

Just grab some gumbo before the game. Perfect weather for it. No tomatoes though.

I always stop at Albertsons and get some fried fish or chicken tenders and bring them in...beats anything they have at the game and a hell of a lot cheaper

They have Shakes trailer set up on concourse at a door so you can get food from there in the PMAC. Also quite a few new fountain drink only setups around the concourse

I've seen some stupidity about sneaking drinks in, but fried fish and chicken tenders takes the prize.

Seriously, Aramark is a major corporation and the only thing that matters to them is the bottom line. Screw them.
Our leaders were probably sold a bill of goods that showed that LSU would make more money by using them. I doubt it really works out as well as the power point pitch said it will, but the contract is signed.

For those that only eat at chain restaurants and forget about the local guy trying to make a living, remember this example when you are making your choices.
