Reminded me of a story I heard on local (baton rouge) radio this week.

The Kent State head coach was being interviewed. He was the DC on the Ohio State team tht lost to LSU in the BCS CG game '07 season.

After the game, they were walking back to the hotel...dejected....quiet. His daughter was 4 years old and had been hearing all the cheering in the stands.

As they were quietly walking along, the little girl starts repeating the cheers "L-S-U...L.S.U....L-S-U"

He said the others tried to shush her and he just said "let her go. She's just a child. She doesn't know any better" She chanted L-S-U all the way back

"I'd rather have a daughter in a whore house than have a son at Alabama."

As a father of two, I also know the great responsibility we're shouldered with when we have children. They have to be loved, disciplined and raised properly so that they'll grow to become responsible, contributing adults.

Keep up the good work elprez!

My wife brought me home this years schedule poster today, which was sitting on my bed. I've been working on the Geaux! Tigers! Cheer with my daughter that's about to turn 2. Tonight, upon taking her out of the tub, she saw the poster and blurts out "Tigers!" So I tried a "Geaux", and she replied "Tigers!" We cheered for a couple of minutes.

I know this is probably a CSB, but I don't care. I'm really excited. One of those little dad victories.

I enjoyed the story!

My son is only 16 months old but I look forward to these types of moments with him.

That is cool....my daughter is 10 mos and someone got her a Mike the Tiger puppet that plays the Geaux Tigers cheer....she is just learning how to push the button to make it play herself. Everytime she gets it to play she goes crazy.

It is great.

We had one of those LSU bottle openers that played an abbreviated version of "Hey Fighting Tigers" whenever you completed the circuit by opening a bottle. The song ended with, "Geaux Tigers! Yay!"

When he was two my son recognized the LSU front plate on my car and started referring to it as the Geaux Tigers Yay car.
