I read something about it awhile ago but does anyone know or have a link about the proposed baseball dimension changes?

There was talk about either making the ball softer or smaller. Anyone remember this? And if so, links?

Do you enjoy the larger balls?

You have underlying latent issues. Get the help you need. Don't come back until your issues are resolved.

they've discussed going to a major league baseball. that would lower the seams of the college ball

I've heard this too, but exactly how does this affect the ball? Less movement? I honestly don't know.

Yes less seams means less movement on pitches, especially breaking balls.

That's what seemed right to me too, but I figured I'd check with people who actually knew.

Based on an article I just saw smaller seams would also mean fielders may make more errors because of a lack of grip

Makes sense, I didn't even think of that.

Yeah it makes it harder to grip it if the seams are lower. When the seams are higher it makes it easier to get tighter spin on the breaking ball producing more revolutions per second, thus producing a more drastic break.

All I heard was that the bats weren't going to change for awhile but they are toying with the idea to change the baseball to more like MLB specs

If they move the seams, we won't see gorilla ball but we will see more hitting. That's the truth

It would cost too much. Don't think we will ever see wooden bats in college but I've been wrong before

Why does the NCAA feel like they have to change things every few years? They want to feel important?
