Just pronounce it like you were taught to pronounce letters that are put together to make words in kindergarten.

If it’s pronounced Alec, it should be spelled that way.

Tell that to hundreds of words/names in Louisiana.

Tell me another pronunciation of the name Alex, then. Alex, is Alex, and Alec is Alec. There's no alternate pronunciation of the name Alex. People are just idiots. The way to pronounce the letter x is either "ks" or "gs"...either way it still sounds like x. Did you pay attention in kindergarten? People can just be ignorant fools that don't know how to pronounce shite you know? And that is the case with Alex box stadium. Some people are dumb.

There’s no way I’m pronouncing Alex like Alec.

If you wanted it said as Alec, spell it that way.

Ok I’m not sure why you’re so fired up about this. This is Louisiana we’re talking about. It’s not some haven for highly educated proper English speaking people. My point was that just like a bunch of other pronunciations in LA, a good % of people say Alex box that way. Get over yourself. It AINT that big of a deal

Cool...my dad was born and raised in Anacoco, and the family has been there for generations. They (the Franklins) were the first settlers there.
I had no idea that anyone of reputation was actually from there. Good to know that about Jim Hawthorne, thanks!

That's because Hebert is French. Alex is pronounced Al Ex in English, never Alec.

If I recall correctly, he is either from Deridder, Dry Prong, or Leesville, and everybody around there calls Alexandria "Ellick."

Affirmative. I talked to a couple of my born and raised in south LA 70+ yr old lifelong tiger fans. It was “Alex” until Hawthorne came along...
