I haven't seen him live so some others can chime in, but based on the reports posted on here he's thrown hard and at times been dominant. Only real concern is his control (he's had a few walks) but I think he's going to be a stud for us.

I would go with Randy's take.
Bryce Jordan if he comes back healthy may be the guy at 1st
Glad to see Deichmann hitting.
Offense will be the key to this team, I think it's hard to say yet what we have because I think our pitching may be the best we've had going back to Bertman era which may be hurting our production a little. We will find out when season starts up

ou have 4 guys that can start and feel good with Lange, Latz, Poche, Smith, in tourney play.
Do you have any clue who Ryan McKay is?

quote:

8. Adams 1B
He may be our best power option. He need to be in the middle of the lineup.

quote:

4. Deichmann DH
Needs to show more consistency

quote:

Midweek: Riley Smith (Think he will be a big part of the pen.)
Friday: Lange
Saturday: Poche
Sunday: Latz
To start the season, yes, but I wouldn't be surprised if McKay would find his way in there somehow.

You can understand where he is coming from. We don't have anywhere near the lineup we did last year but we will have the same starters+ 2 more. If Latz gets his control better and smith keeps pitching like he is we can have 4 starting pitchers with sub 3 era. That's pretty good and also we will have guys like bugg, Bain and Newman in the pen. Ucla won a NC a few years back with the worst lineup in the tournement. They dominated pitching and just had timely hits which we haven't had in the past few years

UCLA might have had the lowest average, but they had the most experienced team. Even on the mound, we won't have much with Latz, Smith and McCay contributing as much as they should.

Also, if it takes a while for hitting to come around even after the start of SEC, we won't have the results to host a regional much less a super. And we almost have to have that to go to Omaha. Everyone knew when last year stalled, our next best chance would be '17

McKay is a lot like Godfrey
Don't think he will be as polished and ready for this staff, will be hard to crack rotation until he develops his secondary pitches. Will get some time based on pure stuff but is a little behind Smith and Gilbert at this point

Wait until you see the hitting before doubting them. I'm confident we have atleast 3 guys hit around .300 and the rest hit around .250. That doesn't sound as good as last year but it could be enough to win a lot of games. We will have a lot of speed and use that to our advantage again this year.

I'm not doubting them. I'm laughing at Adam for crowning them. He's saying they have a better chance of winning it all than last year's team. It's hilarious.

We will win a lot. We are kings of the regular season because our OOC is a damn joke. SEC will be a whole new adjustment phase for our hitters because we won't see anything close to that type of pitching. Even the worst teams in the SEC.

Ell, get the laughing out of your system now.

Again, like I said if this team makes it back to Omaha they are better equipped to make a deeper run with the way Omaha plays.

I'm guessing he is referring to our pitching being better equipped than last season.

I am holding out for tad's input on his lineup projection and W-L forecast before I decide if we are as good as Adam thinks or as bad as Ell thinks.
