Nuss played well to start. He took some massive hits throughout the first half that clearly rattled him (he was pretty gimpy the rest of the way). Having guys tee off on you changes your mental clock, and you saw both interceptions were the product of rushing (mechanics on the first, decision on the wrong key the second time).

Not his best game, but pressure from the right tackle direction was damn near constant. He was able to scramble a couple times and get the ball away consistently, but he won’t get any credit here for any of that. When BK turns on the tape he should be apoplectic at how terrible the blocking was.

He’s still throwing stupid interceptions. That can’t happen with the consistency he’s throwing them.

At half they showed Nuss getting sacked, and if you watched closely his ankle was bent outward. He was lucky it wasn't broken. He's hurt guys. He played on a badly sprained ankle.

Agreed. But he’s still better than he was in 3 of the first 4 games. And I think he can get better. Still room for improvement without a doubt.

There was some consistency for a change

Yea consistent bad decision with the ball in the red zone caused 2 bad interceptions

W Davis gets blown back or easily thrown to the side on nearly EVERY play! He's not the only problem with the OL but he’s definitely the weakest link.

I think BK should tell Davis to get Curne ready to play RT during this week of practice & make it permanent

If he's limping around constantly, I don't know that's 100% healthy.

Did you have amnesia last year when we also had terrible red zone/scoring offense and couldn't run the ball?

No. Why do you ask? Nuss doesn't do the OL blocking, and I am not aware that our red zone scoring by passing was worse last year than this. What's that have to do with his injury this year?

I’m happy that Nuss finally took advantage and ran , and I’m also happy that these moronic coaches emphasized getting Green involved not just at the goal line. However, why is it taking this long for a 5th year senior , and why is it taking so long for one of the highest paid coaching staffs in CFB? I feel like what we saw last night should have been the starting point to the season not our 6th game in.

Nuss just doesn’t have it man.

You want a guy with an edge setting the tone for the offense & this is a dude who pretty consistently caves under pressure.

Won’t be shocked if MVB is starting games at the end of the year. Y’all are really coddling a 5th yr senior.

Well not really. He did sprain his ankle last night and was limping pretty badly but it should be much better in a week.
