The regular season champions of the second toughest conference is clearly the toughest matchup LSU could have drawn. What an absolute slap in the face. The committee appears to have just drawn names out of a hat to fill spots where there was no geographical proximity.

They did it hoping we would win and get paired with Arizona. That’s a narrative for them. I like it. The fact that this team is a two seed is phenomenal considering our reg season. Let’s just stay hot.

Maybe, but with the rules in place and the number of SEC and ACC hosts, SEC and ACC non-hosts only have so many places to go.

They probably aren't thrilled with having to play a LSU team playing with a ton of confidence. But we forget it wasn't a certainty LSU was going to make the tournament when they entered the SEC Tournament. So from an OVERALL season perspective they are getting a "weak" No. 2 seed. But one that is playing like a top 8 team right now.
