Well it's very possible he goes 8-5 after bowl game. I think he gets his 8 wins like every year since dimardo in 1999. However. We look so bad. We could go 7-6. The sec supposedly being down could
Be his lucky charm. We shall see soon enough!!

W v.s. troy, and flip a coin for the rest of the SEC matchups.

OK, just so we're clear, if LSU does lose 5, 6 or 7 games and people start bitching about it, you're not going to be one of those hypocrites who comes in and says the people bitching had unreasonable expectations, right?

I think 6-6 is probably about right. I like our chances vs Troy & Ole Miss and we'll win one of the games between Arky, A&M and Tennessee. That's good enough for a Christmas holiday spent in Shreve Town.

As was stated last week on this board, all of a sudden Troy has become "scary". When a team has fallen so far that an opponent who calls their home venue "Movie Gallery Stadium" becomes scary, then it's hard to be optimistic about success for the season.

I will factor in something that is possibly different this year post-MSU.....LSU's bullseye is much smaller. I actually believe the ramped up preps that usually occur will see some teams not be as focused. All due to a dangerous misconception of LSU sucking. The youth will definitely improve and once (I'm hopeful) Herron returns along with some healing this week for Lawrence the defense will gel.

Also, you will call me nuts, but I really feel the oline will get a tad better. With reps, the freshman RGs and others will start becoming more of a unit. That's huge.....chemistry is everything for the uglies.

I'm seeing 9-3

No way? From what I've seen on the field the last two weeks, I have no reason to expect this team to win on the road in the SEC. That's 5 potential Ls right there.

On paper, we should beat Troy, but historically we have struggled badly against them. That was a long time ago, though, and we did actually win those games, so I think we will beat Troy.

I can't point to a single SEC game and say with confidence that we will win it, but we may have a shot with Ole Miss, Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas A&M. Out of those four, I'll guess we manage to win two, which would put us at 6-6 overall, 2-6 in the SEC. That would get us into the Who-Gives-A-shite Bowl against some G5 team that we manage to beat in an ugly game in late December with about 500 LSU fans in the stands.

We finish 7-6 and better damn well have a monster signing class because this program needs help in the worst way.

Yep. Only played them twice and won 24-20 and 40-31. Both times we were one season removed from national championships.

Don't really remember. I don’t expect we will see much of it this year either. Can mostly just hope our weekly SEC opponents regress or come out flat and have brain farts on the field each game day.

10-2, no worse than 9-3, too much speed and athleticism.
